PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE
INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
This invention relates to automatic short-listing of transporter for travel bookings, particularly to provide an integrated system for travel authentication/authorization and booking and method thereof where in the traveler have the greatest probability of successful travel bookings,
BACKGROUND ART:
It is already well known and is important that a traveler's choice of transport for travel bookings has to be as precise as possible to minimize the lag to travel bookings and reduce the associated costs, and requirement of resources. The process followed by a traveler for choosing the right transport for travel is a challenging exercise as factors such as geographical coverage of the transport, the impact factor of the transport which may be based on facilities provided by the transporter, timeliness and many others influence the final decision. The parameters of the transport depicts the information related to transport type, class of travel, type of serving request accepted. The impact factors are relevant for fields that have a similar travel bookings pattern. As of now, the transport information is obtained manually relative to the factors such as cost of travel bookings, coverage, accessibility, acceptance rate and many others.
Based on the extracted information, the transport is evaluated manually for travel bookings of the travel respective to the factors relative to travel authentication/authorization. The factors relative to travel include expected geographical reach, purpose of traveling, urgency of traveling, budget etc. This is a time consuming and tedious process.
Thus, evaluating number of transporter manually becomes very time consuming, tedious, may not provide accurate results, and may force requirement of repetitive authentication/authorization for the same travel.
Also, the currently available online booking system does not adopt the requirement features such as identification of transporter on the basis of specific timing; low cost or full service carriers; select transporter as per preference and in that order; select fares refundable only/non-refundabie only etc and does not provide confirmation for the travelers logged requests such as meal request or seat request etc. at the booking time. The currently available automated system are sand alone and can not be integrated to the MIS systems of the traveler to incorporate entire corporate policy on the tool to avoid excess spend, spend management.
The review process for each transport requires a long period. The top reasons for outright rejection are that the target transporters are not appropriate in terms of schedule, cost and coverage information.
Summary of the Invention:
The present Invention is to provide a method and system for automatic selection of transporter for travel bookings. The method is defined particularly to recommend a list of transporter where the traveler has the maximum chance of getting appropriate travel bookings further to the authentication/authorization of the travel plan. The system defined through the present invention is an integrated system for travel authentication/authorization and booking particularly provides the order of suitability of the transporter by providing a list of transporter in which the traveler has the greatest probability of successful travel bookings.
