The present invention discloses the system and method for virtual campus visits by using virtual reality technology. In particular, it is related to virtual campus visits for students to check before admission.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. Before taking admission to university or college or school, student and their parents want to take a tour of university or college or school campus. Visiting the campus is often cited as the most important element that helps a student to decide if a college is right or not for them. But there's another reason to visit lots of colleges, early and often.
Campus tours are usually free, as they promote the institution and encourage prospective students to attend the school. Often, schools may give visitors T-shirts or other gifts for taking a tour.
But practically, it is not that much easy to go to visit each and every campus which are on list for admission. If campus is so far, then it becomes hectic and impossible to go to visit the campus.
Currently, there is no such system which solves above problem. With the help of internet, student and parents can get idea of campus by seeing its website. But it is just information shared on website. Actual view and experience is absent in website.
As technology become more and more advanced, it tries to give solutions to each and every problem. The present invention discloses the system and method for virtual campus visit by using virtual reality technology.
The invention application will help student to take a virtual campus tour of the universities or colleges or school, for admission purpose.
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
Virtual reality is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications of virtual reality can include entertainment and educational purposes.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, the system and method for virtual campus tour by using virtual reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, with the help of photos and videos of campus and surrounding it create the virtual campus of universities or college or school.
Other object of the invention is, it helps student in making the decision of admission.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for virtual campus tour by using virtual reality technology. The web application for virtual campus tour is created. Student/user open the invention web site through high definition smart phone. As student/user enter into website, virtual simulation video of university or college or school is seen to user. Student/user can virtually roam here and there to check various area of university or college or school. Student/user experience that he/she is part of that virtual campus and can see and experience everything. This gives an overall idea of university or college or school. It helps student/user in making any decision for admission.

Here by using this invention, the student/user can take a campus tour virtually to know better university or college or school before taking an actual admission.
Virtual campus can be described as online 3D campus where users/student can navigate (virtually) in a campus of university or school or college through 3D technology like in real life. User/student can walk virtually to every area of campus to know it better. It is quite similar to video games.
Here in this invention application, as application starts, it creates virtual scene of campus of university or college or school. So, user/student feel that he/she is the part of that virtual campus tour, and can roam here and there to check out everything of campus.
There are some advantages of present invention such as;
World is open for tour – User/student break the physical barriers for campus tour. No need to depend on number of problems. Anytime user can take a tour of the virtual campus.
No schedules – There aren’t any holidays or closing times, virtual campus can be open for 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Less time consuming – Virtual campus tour consume very less time. The main part of campus tour is travelling to the campus which is not here.
Technology is changing the way students select universities and many schools have now started virtual reality campus tours as a way to connect with applicants on a wider scale. These campus tour allow students to see what it would be like to attend universities in other cities and countries even if they can’t visit in person.
