, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for weather prediction for construction by using Internet of Things (IoT). The present invention relates generally to future weather prediction for construction industry.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Climate is the one of the factors which affects construction sector majorly.
A milder climate will reduce the durability of building materials and affect the indoor climate of buildings. Higher groundwater levels, higher water levels in streams and watercourses, and greater risk of storm surges along the coastline, make it pertinent to safeguard buildings against seepage and flooding.
Long term climate impacts, such as sea level rise, coastal erosion, and drought, and short-term weather-related impacts, such as high winds and flooding influence the choice of site construction, building techniques, and materials for construction.
Buildings can be vulnerable to climate change. In the future there may be an increase in the risk of collapse, declining health and significant loss of value as a result of more storms, snow or subsidence damage, water encroachment, deteriorating indoor climate and reduced building lifetime.
Currently, there is no such system which predicts future weather, which helps in making decision related to construction site.
The present invention solves the above problem with the help of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. With the help of internet of things enabled sensors and devices installed at construction site can predict the future weather.
The phrase the Internet of Things (IoT) means any object or machine component can have sensors installed to monitor operating conditions, performance levels and/or physical states. In the construction industry, this commonly refers to telematics. The Internet of Things isn't just permeating the construction industry.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected devices embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and so on which enable these objects to collect and exchange data.
The concept of IoT has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction sector is weather prediction.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for weather prediction for construction by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Another object of the invention is that, alert send to backed server where invention application is installed.
Another object of the invention is that, construction team member can take decision which action to be performed next to avoid any loss.
Other object of the invention is that, due to weather prediction construction budget loss can be avoided.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for weather prediction for construction by using Internet of Things (IoT). The weather prediction for construction application is installed at backend server. The multiple sensors and devices are installed to construction site and power supply provided to them. Wi-fi modem is installed for internet connectivity to the cloud. The past data of weather is stores on cloud for reference. When the changes of parameters of sensors and devices are updated to cloud, weather prediction system checks the current pattern with previous pattern, and predicate the future weather. Alert will be sent to backend server which is connected to cloud through internet. Construction team member can take immediate action as per alert send by sensors to backend server.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for weather prediction for construction by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction is weather prediction.
The method and system for weather prediction for construction site by using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of:
Backend server – storing data from smart sensors and devices which are internet of things enabled
Sensors – number of sensors are used for weather prediction such as
Temperature sensor – used to sense surrounding temperature of construction
Humidity sensor – used to sense humidity in air
and send data to backend server
Wi-Fi modem – maintain connectivity between backend server and sensors
The various sensors such as temperature sensor and humidity sensor are used to predict the future weather in the area of construction site.
Internet of Things (IoT) - The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction
The present invention discloses the system comprising of the sensors and backend server connected to Internet of Things (IoT) via Wi-Fi modem.
The present invention which has IoT system, consists of sensors which “talk” to the cloud through Wi-Fi connectivity. Once the data gets to the cloud, software processes it and then it sends alert to backend server.
The weather prediction for construction using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of following steps;
Step 1) The backend server should feed with past weather data and its weather pattern
Step 2) Install all the sensors, cameras, wi-fi modem to the construction site
Step 3) Provide power supply to all of above said devices
Step 4) All devices are attached to electronic device using IoT with the help of Wi-Fi
Step 5) The initial reading of all sensors is recorded and stored on cloud
Step 6) The reading of all devices is stored on backend server
Step 7) As the value of sensor changes, system try to generate new weather pattern with help of previous weather pattern
Step 8) Alert of predicted weather pattern would be generated on server
This is the basic model of weather prediction for construction. And scope of invention is not limited to this only.
The weather prediction for construction by using Internet of Things (IoT) has some advantages such as:
Tackle with unusual weather condition – When construction firms become unable to predict weather patterns and develop emergency plans for weather variables, it puts their entire business at risk. With the help of invention application construction team can tackle the problems created by unusual weather condition.
Prevent equipment damage and efficacy – Unusual weather conditions can also throw into a firm’s procedure for caring for equipment and preventing weather damage. Weather can affect the performance and wear and tear of construction equipment. Dry weather can increase the amount of dust on the job site, which can jam and clog machinery. Strong winds can strain equipment and cause breakage. And hot weather can reduce the efficacy of materials like sealants and mortar. Most firms have protocols in place for preventing weather damage, but those procedures are location and climate-dependent. As weather patterns shift, firms may not be familiar with the procedures for caring for equipment in more extreme conditions. With the help of this invention, construction team can prevent the equipment for worst weather condition.
