Abstract: A system for automated selection of atleast one electronic auction method for procuring atleast one procurement item; said system comprises an information seeking system to seek atleast one input data for that procurement item and a selection system to select atleast one electronic auction method for the procurement item based on auction Rule Creation Engine, wherein, input data for the procurement item is a catalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method, if the input data for that item is a noncatalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , less than preconflgured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , more than preconflgured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method. Wherein traditional auction method is traditional reverse auction method or forward auction method, or dutch auction method and wherein quick source auction method is other than traditional auction method.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to electronic auction and procurement. In particular, the invention relates to "System for automated selection of auction method for procuring a procurement item"
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Present invention provides an integrated system for automated creation of requisition which includes integration of Auction and Bids Information system (iSource) and e-procurement system. Auction and Bids Information system (iSource) contains RFQ and/ or RFI sent by buyer to different suppliers while e-procurement system is meant for electronic procurement process for goods/ services. Present system is adapted for creation of requisition by accessing information from RFQ and/ or RFI and mappi9njg them with the fields of requisition template . Thus, present system saves time of entering information on requisition template manually.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to provide a "System for automated selection of auction method for procuring a procurement item"
Another object of the present invention is to provide a system containing an integration of Auction and and e-procurement system.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A system for automated selection of atleast one electronic auction method for procuring atleast one procurement item; said system comprises: a host computer system;
- at least one database component associated with the host computer system;
- a communication interface for accessing the host computer system from a plurality of remote input/ output devices to procure an item, the business process element, further comprising:
- an information seeking system to seek atleast one input data for that procurement item
- a selection system to select atleast one electronic auction method for the procurement item based on auction Rule Creation Engine.

Figure 1 illustrates a schematic of the system containing integration of Auction and System (iSource) and e-procurement system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
According to the system of present invention; there is a system for automated selection of atleast one electronic auction method for procuring atleast one procurement item; said system comprises: a host computer system, at least one database component associated with the host computer system; a communication interface for accessing the host computer system from a plurality of remote input/ output devices to procure an item, the business process element, further comprising: , the procurement item which is required to be procured can be requisitioned by way of input through input output device like mobile device . For providing the procurement item or input data an eform is required to be filed up and provided through input output device. In yet another embodiment of the current system there is an an information seeking system to seek atleast one input data for that procurement item. Once the procurement item is provided through eform using the input output device, The system further requires the user to select one of the input data for the procurement item, the input data for the procurement item can be selected from the drop down filed or else can be tagged based on the pre configured decision rules existing within the system. In yet another embodiment of the system the system maps the procurement item , the input data and the pre configured decision rules to select the auction method for conducting that auction for procuring that procurement ite which is based on auction rule creation engine.
The system as illustration to the above embodiment includes , input data for the procurement item is a catalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method. if the input data for that item is a non catalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall
be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , less than preconfigured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , more than preconfigured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method. Wherein traditional auction method is traditional reverse auction method or forward auction method, or dutch auction method and wherein quick source auction method is other than traditional auction method.

We Claim:
1. A system for automated selection of atleast one electronic auction method for
procuring atleast one procurement item; said system comprises:
- a host computer system;
- at least one database component associated with the host computer system;
- a communication interface for accessing the host computer system from a plurality of remote input/ output devices to procure an item, the business process element, further comprising:
- an information seeking system to seek atleast one input data for that procurement item
- a selection system to select atleast one electronic auction method for the procurement item based on auction Rule Creation Engine.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the information seeking system to seek
information of that procurement item includes providing atleast one input data for
procurement item , through mobile based registration form(s) by the user while
accessing through input output devices like mobile, iPhone, iPad, Android device, Windows
device, Blackberry etc.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, Rule Creation Engine 1 adapted for selecting atleast one electronic auction method associated with atleast one input data for that procurement item based on procurement decision rules.
4. The system as claimed in claim 3, the input data includes atleast one catalog item, or non-catalog item, or spend volume, or contract details.

The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, input data for the procurement item is a catalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method, if the input data for that item is a noncatalog item, the selected electronic auction method shall be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , less than preconfigured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be quick source auction method, if the input data for that item is a spend volume , more than preconfigured volume of spend then the selected electronic auction method shall be traditional auction method. 6. A method for automated selection of atleast one electronic auction method for procuring atleast one procurement item; said system comprises:
- a host computer system;
- at least one database component associated with the host computer system;
- a communication interface for accessing the host computer system from a plurality of remote input/ output devices to procure an item, the business process element, further comprising:
- an information seeking system to seek atleast one input data for that procurement item
- a selection system to select atleast one electronic auction method for the procurement item based on auction Rule Creation Engine.

The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the information seeking system to seek information of that procurement item includes providing atleast one input data for procurement item , through mobile based registration form(s) by the user while accessing through input output devices like mobile, iPhone, iPad, Android device, Windows device, Blackberry etc.
8. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein, Rule Creation Engine 1 adapted for selecting atleast one electronic auction method associated with atleast one input data for that procurement item based on procurement decision rules.
