Abstract: ABSTRACT “SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING PRE-CHARGING IN AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF” 5 The present disclosure describes techniques for controlling pre-charging in an electric vehicle (EV). A system (210) comprises a battery unit (120) comprising a plurality of battery packs (130-1, 130-2) connected in parallel. Each battery pack is connected to a Motor Control Unit (MCU) (110) of the EV via a respective connecting means (140-1, 10 140-2). The system further comprises a pre-charge circuit (150) connected in parallel to each of the connecting means via a respective one-way switch (160-1, 160-2). The system (210) further comprises a vehicle control unit (VCU) (170) configured to initiate the pre-charging by closing the pre-charge circuit (150) while keeping the connecting means open and monitor feedback signal (FS) indicative of an output voltage from the 15 pre-charge circuit (150). The VCU (170) is further configured to open the pre-charge circuit (150) and close at least one of the connecting means, when the feedback signal exceeds a threshold value.
