TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The present subject matter described herein, in general, relates to a marine hanger and seating and more specifically relates to a system and method for making supports for the marine hangers and seatings.
BACKGROUND
[002] In marine field, hangers and seating are integral part of ship and form a structure on which cables and equipment are installed respectively. The hangers and seating are used widely across ships in variety of configurations based on requirements and constraints. In order to achieve these configurations, hangers are to be provided with some support of throughout the length of the hangers wherein different lengths of the supports are required to be provided. Also, in order to install equipment of different shapes and sizes, seatings are required to be fabricated. For providing support of hangers and for fabrication of seatings, generally aluminium/MS flat bars are used. Usually, these flat bars are straight which are required to be bended for making them suitable for required configurations. For such bending of flat and straight flat bars, complex machineries/systems are used which are heavy, occupies substantial space and requires skilled operators. These machineries/systems are not suitable for relocation specially on the sites with space constrains in various locations inside ships. Further, these machineries/systems are high on maintenance and have high running cost as they are either powered electrically or operated hydraulically.
[003] Furthermore, few existing technologies describe bending system with motor driven and hydraulic adjustable rollers arrangements. As these systems work on electrical power and are based on hydraulic principle, they are built for executing medium and large scale work.
