Specification

Claims:We claim:
1) A system for displaying content items to a user of a client device comprising of;
a. Digital magazine server for arranging content items in sections, subsections based on user preferences;
b. User interface for customization of web pages such as laptop, desktop or computer for showing the pages to the user;
c. A LAN OR VAN network connecting user with digital server such as internet;
d. Collecting the account data for re-ranking by the user; and
e. Ranking the data based on text or image present in the content.
2) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system arranges content items in sections, subsections based on user preferences.
3) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sections of content items are selected based on user’s preferences and shown to the user via serially one or more pages including content items as per user preference.
4) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said content items are compared to the limit on pages and combined to reduce display area for presenting them.
5) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system divides the content data into sections and ranks the data based on text or images present in the content.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The invention generally relates to media applications on computing devices. The present invention more particularly relates to a system for ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet for more efficient display.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
A digital magazine has many of the characteristics as a print magazine, but uses digital publishing technology and can be consumed on an electronic device like a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. The main advantages of using digital magazine are savings on printing costs and eco-friendliness. Digital magazines contain animations, hyperlinks, video and other dynamic content.
Publishers provide an increasing amount of content items to users through digital distribution channels, and users access these content items through various client devices. However, different client devices have different capabilities for displaying content items. For example, different client devices have different display areas, different display resolutions, different content download speeds, and different processing capabilities. These variations in display capabilities make it difficult for publishers to present content items on different client devices in a consistent manner.
For example, if a publisher of a digital magazine seeks to display a table of contents for a digital magazine or for a section of the digital magazine, the number of content items displayed by the table of contents may vary based on the client device. This variation in displayed content items may be based on variations in display resolutions or display areas of different client devices. The wide variety of client devices used to present content items makes use of device-specific display algorithms impractical. Some conventional techniques for displaying a table of contents shrink the display size of each content item to display all content items in a display area or exclude some content items from display. However, these techniques limit the ability of a user to view a comprehensive listing of the content items in a digital magazine or a section of the digital magazine.
So there is a need for a system for provide ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet based on user-specified criteria
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
An object of the present invention is to provide ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet based on user-specified criteria for more efficient display.
Another object of the present invention is to provide links to manage and view webpages.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
Accordingly, a system for ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet for more efficient display is disclosed. A system for displaying content items to a user of a client device comprising of; Digital magazine server for arranging content items in sections, subsections based on user preferences; User interface for customization of web pages such as laptop, desktop or computer for showing the pages to the user; Collecting the account data for re-ranking by the user; and Ranking the data based on text or image present in the content.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention is a system for ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet for more efficient display. The present invention provides ranking and arrangement of the digital magazine display on internet based on user-specified criteria for more efficient display and to provide links to manage and view webpages.
In one embodiment, a system for displaying content items to a user of a client device comprising of;
a. Digital magazine server for arranging content items in sections, subsections based on user preferences;
b. User interface for customization of web pages such as laptop, desktop or computer for showing the pages to the user;
c. A LAN OR VAN network connecting user with digital server such as internet;
d. Collecting the account data for re-ranking by the user; and
e. Ranking the data based on text or image present in the content.
In another embodiment, content items are organized into sections and subsections. When a user accesses a digital magazine, sections of content items are selected based on user’s preferences and shown to the user via serially one or more pages including content items as per user preference. The digital magazine becomes personalized, customizable application for displaying contents of magazine to users with user interface such as desktop, laptop or computer.
In another embodiment, a page template is selected and one or more pages for content items. For presenting content items to the user through selected page template, the content items presented to the user is compared to the limit on pages to added of the selected page template. Many content items are selected and combined content item includes information with each of the selected content items which helps the user to identify the combined content items and to reduce the display area for presenting content items. User may manually identify content items for generating the combined content items. User manually identify content items for generating combined content items. By combining content items, a single content item includes information from various selected content items.
In another embodiment, user can collect real time data from multiple sources to rank content based on the real data. Thus it can be ranked, re- ranked again and re-sorted digital content before presenting it to a browser by taking into account data.
In another embodiment, user receives selections from a user of content items from one or more sources followed by presenting the user with selected content items. If a digital magazine receives some inputs from user, it automatically generates pages of digital magazine . A cover of digital magazine is decided based on content items in the digital magazine. Digital magazine server selects the cover and communicate it to client device/user interface.
Content items selected by the user are grouped into sections with common characteristics. Content items are ranked based on text or images present in the content.
For example: a content item in a group having a highest ranking based on text data and a content item in the group having a highest ranking based on image data are selected and used to generate a cover for the section including the content items. Content items are formatted in the order in which they are presented by the digital magazine.
