System Setup Assistance Apparatus
Abstract: This system setup assistance apparatus includes the following: a system design assistance tool (10) i.e. a system design assistance unit that loads a profile (15) for each of a number of devices that are to constitute a factory automation system and uses data from the loaded profiles (15) to assist in the design of said factory automation system; and various simulators (11) i.e. simulation units that simulate the behavior of the factory automation system designed using the system design assistance unit. The system design assistance unit includes a simulator coordination function unit that coordinates with the system design assistance unit to operate the simulation units. The simulation unit includes a simulator for each device. The system design assistance unit loads the abovementioned profiles which contain simulator information for operating the simulators in coordination with the system design assistance unit and the simulator coordination function unit uses said simulator information to operate the simulators.
