Abstract: A system to create a mobile converged platform of virtual private and public mobile network wherein the said private network provides access to only authorized users to make or receive calls and restricts the unauthorized users within said network from performing every activity from their mobile phones, the system comprises :- Green Radio Jammers wherein PBX bundled with a MSC (mobile switching centre) and a BTS (Base Transceiver Station) to support GSM wireless handsets, which support mobility within specified area; and Air - NGX based common control cards restrict the unauthorized calls within the said network wherein the common control card maintains all the configuration details of the system; Characterized in which said private network allocates a temporary unique number to each of its registered user and maps it to the user mobile number in the macro cell network. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to system to create a mobile converged platform of
virtual private and public mobile network (including Global System for Mobile
communication (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) giving access to
6 authorized users only in private network, without causing (RF) pollution. More
particularly the invention relates to a system that forcefully latches all mobile
phones in the specified area controlling all outgoing and incoming calls to every
device, thus controlling the mobile calls made from the specified area without
causing RF (radio frequency) pollution by excessive radiation of TX
(transmission) or RX (reception) or both frequencies.
The existing system of jamming of radio networks for reasons of security and
sanitization, work on the principle of radiating excessive amount of RX (receive)

. or TX (transmission) or both frequencies that act as noise and prevents anyone
and everyone from making mobile calls. The existing system is found to have
two drawbacks, one is that it creates excessive RF radiation that amounts to
noise pollution in the un-audible range and second is that even the authorized
security staff cannot make calls from their mobile phones.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks.
A brief summary of its advantages or improvement over existing practices
including aspects believed to be novel and distinguishable from the background
state of the art.
This mobile network (GSM as well as CDMA), will be so configured that all mobile
subscribers of GSM as well as CDMA networks, whenever within the range of
radio (RF) coverage of this network, will essentially get latched to this network
as if this was their most preferred network Once they have latched on to this
network the call control will reside with the given solution and only authorized
users would be allowed to make or receive calls while all those who are not
authorized users will perceive to be registered but will not be able to make or
receive calls.
This product, is envisaged to be used for security purpose hence it would be
configured to also take in protocols like; El, ( E-carrier ), PRI (Primary
Rate Interface), E&M (Electro and Magneto), magneto / IP (Internet Protocol) /
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) / MGCP (Media Gateway Control Protocol) /
Quad cable / UHF (Ultra High Frequency) / VHF (Very High Frequency sets) /
TWT (Travelling Wave Tube) / BWT (Background Wave Tube) in the same box
so that calls from authorized users may also be routed on special networks that
may need such specialized connectivity protocols.
Equipment will support all the traditional PBX (Private Branch Exchange)
functions, which may be required for supporting the VIP persons or for setting
up a complete private communication network in the high security zone. These
additional functions could be, but shall not be limited to, ACD (Automatic Call
Distribution) / UMS (Unified Messaging System) / Cn (Computer Telephone
.. integration) application / call forward / conference / key phone integration for
status display of extensions seamlessly across the network including the digital
phones, IP phones, analog phones and mobiles including GSM and CDMA
handsets.
This would be a very cost effectiie design compared to other products with
similar features.

The invention has a number of applications such as sanitization of secure areas
on temporary basis like at the time of VIP movements.
By integrating (I-Connect) with coral AIR NGX, persons who need to exchange
information should be able to do so, even when they are using different
technologies from different manufacturers, without the need for custom
hardware or software to integrate them all. The interoperability between
different radio networks makes this product a unique contraption.
CTS OF THE INVENTION
h Therefore, it is an object of the invention to propose a system to create a virtual
private mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only,
which is able to integrate mobile devices with the private network in such a way
that the unauthorized users will be restricted in the private wireless network but
work seamlessly when they move out of the specified campus environment.
Another object of the invention is to propose a system to create a virtual private
mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only which is
capable of creating a mechanism that prevent usage of mobile phones by
unauthorized persons yet allows authorized staff to make calls from their mobile
phones (including GSM phones).
A still another object of the invention is to propose a system to create a virtual
private mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only
while allowing the using agency to keep track and monitor all calls made by the
authorized calls from such networks for security considerations. - A further object of the invention is to propose a system to create a virtual private
. mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only which can
conbol the traffic pattern and destinations on which call is allowed by the
authorized callers.
A still further object of the invention is to propose a system to create a virtual
private mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only
which can control the incoming calling pattern or numbers from where call can
be received by authorized persons.
~ A further object of the invention is to propose a system to create a virtual private
mobile network (including GSM) giving access to authorized users only which is
. capable of reducing noise pollution by non radiation of excessive RF frequencies
at high power.
Another object of the invention is to propose a system by the method of
bundling PBXs with wireless handheld devices as wireless extensions of the PBX
which support mobility within specified private enterprises across a single
campus only or might be allowed across multiple geographically distant
campuses connected to one another over leased lines only, not to the outer
world.
Another object of the invention is to provide a complete communication solution
to the user organization by providing an integrated connectivity to various
specialized protocols / networks that they may be using.
Another object of the invention is to provide a complete communication solution
to the user organization with all the PBX functionalities to support various

communication needs of that organization including intercommunication from
wired and wireless extension.
SUMMARY OF M E INVENTION
The present invention provides the ability to create "virtual" private GSM network
alongside a public GSM network that need to be sanitized. This private network
is seamlessly integrated in mobile devices in such a way that the unauthorized
users will be restricted in the private wireless network yet allows authorized staff
to make calls from their mobile handsets. This system of jamming radio
-, networks for security reasons is done without causing noise pollution by radiation
of excessive RF frequencies at high power. It even keeps track and monitor all
calls made by authorized callers for security considerations. The present
invention shall forcefully latch all mobile phones within Its range and shall control
facility to make outgoing calls to specifled destinations by authorized users only.
Another aspect of the present invention is to support roaming services to city
wide mobile operators so that when a mobile subscriber of one or more city wide
mobile service operator walk into this network then they can get registered
temporarily on this network and can avail some or all or none of the features as
authorized to the user. It can control all handsets (GSM 2G / 3G / 4G / CDMA)
that shall support various services in the city and shall control various services
not limited to voice data video, SMS, GPS and GPRS based services. This
solution can be further integrated with I-connect which is radio interoperable
system. GSM interface with I-connect will provide, total interoperability between t
two or more parties, allowing virtually unlimited project application. According to
the present invention once any user comes under the coverage of the system in
the private domain, he / she becomes a part of the Mobile Switching Centre - (MSC) of the private switching system. The private system thereby allocates a
temporary unique member to each of its registered user and maps it to the user
mobile number in the macro cell network. Though the user does not perceive
any difference because of this virtual temporary number, but calls will be allowed
or denied as per specified regulation. The present invention is applicable to all
users of all the service providers in a city.

Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanied figure (Fig. 1) following is given
a detailed description, defining embodiments of the present invention.
Coral Air-NGX is a soft switch, which can be integrated at the core with I-connect
to support multiple frequencies at multiple locations with a distributed or
centralized call processing architecture. For this feature, it can act as a hosted
solution, which can work across geographically located offices, This mobile
converged platform has integrated MSC (Mobile Switching Centre) and RAN
(Radio Access Network) functionalities to support mobile devices including GSM
and CDMA phones from one platform.
. This platform can be seamlessly integrated with mobile and terrestrial networks - on the city.
This platform can be further integrated with UHF / VHF networks of the security
staff to provide a seamless interconnect.
The solution provides the ability to create "virtual private mobile network" along
side a public network within specified areas that need to be sanitized / secured,
This is done by creation of a "virtual private mobile network including GSM
I phones" that will support roaming with all the service providers in the city /
country.

Once deployed as a single box solution, system shall seamlessly integrate and
control all handsets (mobiles including GSM / 2G / 3G / 4G / CDMA) that shall
support various services in the city and shall control various services including
but not limited to voice data video, SMS, and GPS and GPRS based services.
, System shall be so configured that thii "private network" is treated as the
preferred network by all mobile subscribers who walk into this network and
thereafter the call control of all such subscribers will reside with this switching
device.
This solution can also integrate with multiple UHF / VHF / HF (high frequency) /
CNR (combat net radio) networks. It would be able to addresses the critical
need for rapid communication between multiple stand-alone radio networks
operated by desperate organizations.
This platform will support and control switching across various connectivity and

protocols but not limited to the analog phones / key telephones / ADSL (
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line ) extensions / El, PRI, E&M, Magneto / IP /
SIP /.MGCP / MAGACO / Quad cable / UHF / VHF / GSM ZG, 3G, 4G / COMA /
GPS and GPRS,
The present invention shall forcefully latch all mobile phones within its range
thus controlling mobile phones of all operators within its range. It shall control
facility to receive incoming calls and to make calls by specified users and shall
control all mobile phones within its range and shall control facility to make
outgoing calls to specified destinations by authorized users only.
The present invention shall keep log of all calls received and made from within
its range.
The key distinguishing features of the present invention constitutes a single unit
that takes the complete control on one board for all the activities and a single
CPU provides the complete solution. Each even status is reported without any
intermediary patch up work or integration work. There is no emulation software
to report status of one set of switching devices to the other for status of wait
time, queue length.
Once the user comes under the coverage of the present invention in the private
domain then, he / she becomes a part of the MSC of the private switching
system according to the present invention. The private system allocates a
temporary unique number to each of its registered users and maps it to the user
mobile number in the macro cell network. This temporary number is virtual and
the user does not perceive any difference. Any user is allowed or denied call
facilities as per the specified regulation. The present invention will be applicable
to all users of all the service providers in a city / country.
In another aspect of the present invention the system can support roaming
services to city wide mobile operators so that when a mobile subscriber or one or
more city wide mobile service operators walk into this network then they can get
registered temporarily on this network and can avail some or all or none of the
features as authorized to the user.
Provisioning and integrating Coral Air NGX with I-Connect, will enable seamless
n communication of mobile including GSM phones with UHF / VHF based radio
networks. The I-Connect radio gateway addresses the critical need for rapid
communication between multiple UHF / VHF radio nelworks. Seamless
integration of Coral Air mobile including GSM with the 'I connect" will enable the
mobile including GSM phones subscriber of the network to be able to talk with
the other radio networks connected with the system. This would be application
useful feature in high security areas as such areas shall typically have multiple
security agencies using UHF / VHF handset and coordination across these
networks would be of prime importance.
Entire system of IRIS NGX would be so designed that it can act as a transit /
tandem switch; can act as PBX, media gateway, and signaling gateway with soft
switching core while essentially controlling GSM, MSC, 8TS. The switching
solution will have call control with its own private HLR / VLR records and would
handle least cost routes based on pre-defined logics.

GSM PBX can be defined as green radio Jammers, where PBXS bundled with MSC
and BTS features, enables it to support mobile handsets (including GSM and
CDMA) as wireless extensions and furthermore the embedded soft switch based
'common control cards restricts the unauthorized calls in the network. The
permitted authorized calls (both incoming and outgoing) are all tracked and
recorded in the system.
Provisioning of PBXs bundled with mobile including GSM handsets as wireless
extensions of the PBX with a central control, providing seamless call control for
calls across POTS (Plain Old Telephone) / E&M channels / IP (SIP (Session

Initiation Protocol) JH.323) Combat Net Radio (CNR) nehivorks / UHF and VHF
radio sets. A solution such as this with a common control section working in
synchronize with all the protocols connected is not available in this domain.
The solution supports common control which facilitates seamless feature
availability for call transfer / call forward / Least Cost Routing (LCR) / Unified
Messaging System (UMS) / prepaid and post paid billing / conference facilities
Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) for call centre environments.
Novelty is in controlling calls that can be made or received by any mobile
subscriber who walks into this private environment thereby restricting
communication as per desired security requirements.
Novelty is also in the number of connectivity's possible in a single box from
mobile including GSM phones, POTS, CNR radio to IF, UHF / VHF connectivity's. "
It can work seamlessly across geographic locations using NGX or soft switching
as the core. Control processes can be duplicated and redundant. - A unique method of controlling calls made in a specified private network so as to
avoid deficiencies of conventional mobile including GSM jammers. System will
forcibly latch all mobile subscribers of all mobile operators in the specified area
and shall control all outgoing and incoming calls to every device, thus controlling
the mobile calls made from the specified area without causing RF pollution by
excessive radiation of the transmit frequency.
Moreover the system will support all the traditional PBX functions like ADC / UMS
/ Cll / Call forward / conference / key phone integration for status display of
extensions seamlessly across the network including the digital phones, IP
phones, analog phones and mobile including GSM mobile phones.

The solution provides the ability to create "virtual" private mobile including GSM
network along-side a public mobile including GSM network within specified areas
that need to be sanitized / secured. This is done by creation of a "virtual private
mobile including GSM network" that by default supports roaming of all service
providers in the city / country.
"Coral Air-NGX" is a soft switch at the core which can be integrated with Iconnect
to support multiple locations along with multiple frequencies with a
distributed or centralized call processing architecture, hence can ad as a hosted
solution that can work across geographically located offices.
Most networks require T1 / E l as the physical layer interface to carry this
communication. Coral Air NO( roadmap will support 3G environments,
Communication between the BTS to BSC and then MSC Is on Ethernet thus the
same can be conveniently backhauled on IP radios.
The system has wide scope of advantageous applications, which can be utilized
for various industrial purposes.
Primarily the key feature of the system is to permit calls made by authorized
users only, while barring every other unauthorized users from making calls. This
completely overcomes the disadvantage of prior art, in which jamming of radio
networks for security reasons is done by radiating excessive amount of RX
(receive) or TX (transmission) or both frequencies creating noise and prevents
everyone from making calls.
Commercial potential is huge as such a kind of a solution would be required by
every security agency to create sanitized networks. Jails, prisons, high security
areas, WIP movement routes and government buildings would need such
devices.
It can be used in government offices or in secure environments, where staff can
be allowed to use mobile phones but any visitor in the premises cannot make
mobile calls unless specifically authorized.
Disaster recovery sites for Railways, Army, and other mission critical applications
may need such "private radio networks" for rapid deployment and to provide
interconnect to various modes of communication that may have to be used at
such sites. Further while providing such a diverse communication network it
would also create a sanitized radio network where no outsider can come and
make calls.
Device will be able to work on 12 V / 24 V / 48 V batteries so that even if some
batteries fall in the difficult terrain the system will continue to work.
User friendly NMS (Network Management System) / Call Details Recorder (CDR)
would be such that semi skilled work force of the security agency will be able to
manage and carry out trouble shooting of the network. They shall be able to
check control and manipulate records of calls made from the network. This will
fi
be made simple and user friendly so that the security agency does not need to
provide access to their sensitive data to third party engineers.
All calls in the network are monitored and controlled by the in-house private
security.
Moreover it would be a cost effective solution for provisioning of telephone
services in rural areas. Integrated prepaid and postpaid billing solutions on the
system CPU will make it low cost.
Billing, operation and management is so user friendly than a semi skilled work
r\ force from village will be efficiently able to commercially manage the network.
By deploying an i-connect system, users will be able to call both ways a radio set
from their desktop phone / GSM / CDMA phone or even an IP phone from a
remote location.

calls within the said network wherein the common control card
maintains all the configuration details of the system;
Characterized in which said private network allocates a temporary
unique number to each of its registered user and maps it to the
user mobile number in the macro cell network.
2. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein NGX integrated at the
core is a soft switch.
3. A system as claimed in claim 2 wherein the soft switch is
integrated with I-connect to support centralized call
processing architecture.
4. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein the private network
forcefully latches all mobile devices within its range.
5. A system as claimed in claim 4 which tracks and monitors all
call details made by the authorized users within the said
private network.
