Abstract: Systems and methods for extrusion lamination are described. The described extrusion lamination system includes a plurality of rollers to compress laminate a plurality of films. The extrusion lamination system also includes a tape assembly coupled to at least one roller from amongst the plurality of rollers. The tape assembly comprisesa plurality of tape holders, where each of the plurality of tape holders is slidable across a length of the at least one roller. The tape assembly further comprises at least one tape coupled to each of the plurality of tape holders, wherein the at least one tape is rolled around the at least one roller, and wherein the at least one tape is slidable across the length of the at least one roller.
CLIAMS:1. An extrusion lamination system comprising:
a plurality of rollers to compress laminate a plurality of films;
a tape assembly coupled to at least one roller from amongst the plurality of rollers, wherein the tape assembly comprises:
a plurality of tape holders, wherein each of the plurality of tape holders is slidable across a length of the at least one roller; and
at least one tape coupled to each of the plurality of tape holders, wherein the at least one tape is rolled around the at least one roller, and wherein the at least one tape is slidable across the length of the at least one roller.
2. The extrusion lamination system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tape assembly further comprises an actuator to slide at least one tape holder from amongst the plurality of tape holders along the length of the at least one roller.
3. The extrusion lamination system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the actuator is one of a mechanical actuator, an electrical actuator, a pneumatic actuator, and a hydraulic actuator.
4. The extrusion lamination system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of rollers include at least one rubber roller, and wherein the at least one tape is rolled around the rubber roller.
5. The extrusion lamination system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one tape is one of a teflon tape and a silicon tape.
6. The extrusion lamination system as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one tape holder from amongst the plurality of tape holders includes a spindle.
7. A tape assembly in extrusion lamination system, the tape assembly comprising:
a plurality of tape holders; and
at least one tape coupled to each of the plurality of tape holders, wherein each of the plurality of tape holders and the at least one tape coupled respective tape holder is slidable along a length of a roller of the extrusion lamination system.
8. The tape assembly as claimed in claim 7, wherein the tape assembly further comprises an actuator to slide at least one tape holder from amongst the plurality of tape holders along the length of the roller.
9. The tape assembly as claimed in claim 8, wherein the actuator is one of a mechanical actuator, an electrical actuator, a pneumatic actuator, and a hydraulic actuator.
10. The tape assembly as claimed in claim 7, wherein at least one tape holder from amongst the plurality of tape holders is a spindle.
