Systems And Methods For Timely Addressing Particulates In A Gas Turbine With A Wash System

Abstract: A method for timely addressing particulates in a gas turbine is provided. The gas turbine includes a compressor section, a combustion section, and a turbine section. The method includes monitoring, with a controller, data indicative of one or more particulate parameters with a particulate sensor. The particulate sensor is disposed in at least one of an inlet to the compressor section or an outlet of the turbine section. The method further includes determining, with the controller, when the data indicative of one or more particulate parameters exceeds a particulate threshold. The method further includes implementing a control action associated with a wash system in response to determining that the data indicative of one or more particulate parameters exceeds the particulate threshold.
