, Description:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention is related generally to food industry, and more particularly to the machine which produces flat breads including chapati, roti in large scale and small scale.
Background of the Invention
When dough is made of flour and water, they can be rolled to make thick or thin flat breads using several materials which can include rolling pins, roller machines and so forth. A rolling pin is a cylindrical food preparation utensil used to shape and flatten dough. The rollers in the rolling machine can be in the form of a thick cylinder with/without small handles at each end. When the flat breads are made in small scale, then the rolling pins and food impression makers can be used which can roll out fewer number of dough proportions to make flatbreads.
But when larger numbers of flat breads are to be made in the case of hotels, restaurants, catering and so forth, larger equipment for flat bread rolling are required.
There are several prior art patents which provide different solutions for rolling flat bread in which several are listed below.
US patent application 3947179A by NEUENKIRCHENER EISENGIESSEREI und MASCHINENFABRIK EMIL KEMPER GmbH discloses dough rolling machine that is capable of continuously feeding pieces of dough on a traveling surface first to a roll for the flattening operation where the pieces of dough are caused to assume the proper length and width for the desired product to be created therefrom. As the flattened dough is emitted from the rolling operation, the leading edge thereof is caused to be raised from the traveling surface and directed rearward while the remainder of the dough progresses through the rolling operation and is advanced to another member which rolls the length of dough upon itself to complete the formation of the finished product.
EPO patent application 1099379A2 by Italiana Agro Alimentare Srl discloses a device for shaping portions of bread dough or the like. A device for shaping portions of bread dough or the like comprises a roller (25) having opposed side handles (26), a substantially central body (27), a plurality of discs (29) projecting from the central body (27) and extending around its periphery, and shaping elements (28) projecting from the central body (27). The device has the advantage of simplifying and speeding up operations to shape portions of bread dough and, at the same time, producing loaves which can easily be divided into separate bread rolls having a certain regularity of shape.
US patent application 7252491B2 by Gourmet Impressions Inc discloses food impressing roller device for food items, which is a rolling device designed to create images upon a variety of foods for decoration and/or marketing purposes. As the device is hand-rolled along the food, the decorative letters and images create a repeated pattern of impressions upon the food. The roller device is particularly suitable for impressing narrow foods such as pizza crusts, certain pasta noodles, lattice pie tops, breadsticks, or the edges of melons. The device provides a firm, comfortable grip for all hand sizes that can be used with one or two hands.
US patent application 20060236872A1 by Robert Nordberg and Rajagopalan Chandrasekhar discloses a machine for making thin flatbread which comprises of a manually loaded flour bin and a manually loaded water tank. Flour and a water dispenser. A pair of batch mode devices each of which performs the actions of a mixer and a dispensing pump. An endless sheet of dough extruder discharging vertically downward onto an inclined hot plate. A hot plate vibrator. A second inclined hot plate. A tension-limiting means including a light sensor and a pair of rollers which passes the sheet either through a cutter and batch-gathering means or through a serrator followed by a vertical pass through oven and then through a cutter and batch-gathering means.
The drawbacks with the existing system and methods include technical issues in making soft tasty flat breads which are listed below. The existing automatic machine consumes more electrical energy and required more space. The existing pressing and cutting methods are not producing the multilayer flatbreads. The existing machines cannot be used to make stuffed flatbreads without making damage to them. The existing machines cannot reproduce the taste of handmade flatbreads. Another drawback of the existing system is that in some of the systems, the dough might stick to the roller and rotating pan plate.
Thus there is a need for a simple yet advanced machine which can be used to roll the dough in a table top assembly which can overcome all the mentioned drawbacks.
Objects of the Invention:
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine to create different qualities of flatbreads.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine to make multilayer flatbreads with high production capacity.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine which has low power consumption.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine with high energy efficiency.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine with light weight so that it can be portable.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a table-top roller machine with volume net cutter mechanism for cutting the dough into same size proportion for making flatbreads.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention discloses a table-top roller machine which comprises of a roller and a rotating pan plate which is coated with a non-stick material. The roller is used to roll the dough made from flour and water into thin sheets and the rotating plan plate can be used to cut the dough sheets into equal proportions to make flat breads.
