A system of recovery of gas consisting of:(a) a pipe collecting all the gas vented from across the plant process5 carrying the said gas to knock out drum (KOD);(b) a liquid seal and piping blind installed between the said KOD anda flare stack;(c) a pipe originating from between the said KOD and the said liquidseal carrying the gas to a recovery system;10 (d) a pipe collecting all the gas vented from across the secondprocess and carrying such gas to a second KOD;(e) a second liquid seal and piping blind installed between the said second KOD and a second flare stack;(f) a second pipe originating from between the said second KOD15 and the second liquid seal carrying the gas to the recovery; such secondpipe provided with a restricted orifice to control the flow of gas from within it to the said recovery.2. A system as claimed in claim 1 in which the said second liquid seal is capable20 of withstanding higher pressure than the said first liquid seal.3. A system as claimed in claim 1 wherein there is a unitary gas recovery forplurality of flaring systems.25 4.
