simultaneously, wherein such method is mainly selected for making
plasticlpolymericlwooden combs;
an automatic teeth curling machine and the process of its operation, wherein said
teeth curling machine and the said process of its operation are characterized by
uniform, smoothened, curledlbuffed and preferably same teeth pattern
throughout the comb's teeth area; and
a teeth curling machine for comb making, wherein it comprises of a controldevice
and electrical panel for program selection and setting, namely pitch, RPM

Description of the present invention:
The present description mainly discloses an invention pertaining to a teeth
c 4 ng machine for comb making and the method of teeth curlinglbuffing thereof;
wherein said machine performs curlinglbuffing of the teeth pattern towards
smoothening and finishing the teeth pattern of the comb, in a particular mechanical
manner automatically, preferably on more than one combs simultaneously,
preferably on two combs simultaneously.
The proposed teeth curling machine mainly comprises of following components:
Electric Motors,
Leather BuffingICurling Wheels
Sliding Shaft
Comb workpiece mounting Hangers,
Control panel, and
Mounting Table.
These major components along with other support components are assembled in
a particular fashion to create the complete installation of the present teeth curling
machine which functions in the specific automatic manner, as discussed herein.
The most preferred embodiment of the proposed teeth curling machine herein is
substantially being described and disclosed herein. Said embodiment of the teeth
curling machine mainly comprises of a mounting table, on which the functional
machine installation is embodied. The machine installation comprises of preferably
two Leather BuffingICurling Wheels, which are associated together with the help of a
shaft, engaged with certain gear and chain arrangements. The shaft, with its gear
6
and chain arrangement, is associated with two electric motors, wherein one electric
d r is responsible for rotating the Leather Buffing Curling Wheels simultaneously
and wherein the another electric motor is responsible for carrying out left and right
movements1oscillations of the sliding platform.
One electric motor is positioned in the backside above the mounting table,
duly engaged with the main shaft of the lather curlinglbuffing wheels, wherein
said electric motor is connected to the rotating gear of the shaft using a
beltlchain. When the motor is operational it rotates the shaft and thus the
curling wheels too.
Another electrically operated motor is installed preferably below the
mounting table, preferably in vertically upward direction, in such a way
involving certain gear arrangements that it can perform two way sliding (left
and right) of the main platform of the machine installation, mounted with the
complete teeth curing assembly, above the mounting table.
The leather buffinglcurling wheels are on the either sides of the machine
installation. These wheels are operated with the help of a belt which is
connected to a rotator and is operated by the electric motor. There is a comb
mounting hanger attached with the wheel. An operator hangs the comb in it
for the finishing. The wheel curls the teeth uniformly in both sides. When the
comb curling is done, the operator places another comb in the hanger.
In main platform, mounting the functional installation of the teeth curling
P
machine, mainly the assembly of leather buffinglcurling wheels and its shaft
therein, is provisioned for performing a left and right linear mechanical
movementsloscillation continuously at regular intervals. The said platform,
with the help of certain gears and chain arrangement and an electric motor
therein, is made capable of performing said back and fro linear mechanical
movementsloscillations. This shaft, along with the leather buffinglcurling
wheels, moves small distances in left and right, both directions. Such linear
oscillatory motion of the leather buffinglcurling wheels, assembled on the
main platform therein, support the teeth buffinglcurling operations in
I automated and mechanical manner. The length of teeth pattern of the comb
work-piece, mounted on the comb mounting hanger in front of a teeth
buffinglcurling wheel, receives the buffinglcurling automatically due to the
customized functioning of the present teeth curling machine.
The functional features of the components are so optimized and interlinked
with the softwarellogic program of the control mechanism using the control
panel thereof that the said teeth curling machine becomes capable of
performing mechanical actions of teeth curling in automation towards
producing a uniform and smoothened teeth pattern thereof.
Towards uninterrupted and regulated power supply to the electric motors
and towards teeth curling quality control, a control panel is applied with the
proposed machine. With the help of such control mechanism, involving + suable softwarellogic-program and indicatorsldigital display, all the
automation and quality related features towards teeth curling are monitored
and controlled, wherein it regulates the rotation of the leather buffinglcurling
wheels, the rotation of the shaft therein, movement of the sliding platform, and
performances of electric motors and power supply therein.
The constructional and functional features of the proposed teeth curling
machine are illustrated hereinbelow with the help of following figures.
Figure 1: It represents the photograph of one of the preferred embodiment of
the proposed teeth curling machine;
Figure 2: It represents one complete schematic sketch view of the proposed
teeth curling machine;
Said drawingslphotos are labeled to highlight the components, their
functionality and assembly of the proposed teeth curling machine.
Working of the proposed teeth curling machine:
Said machine, as schematically depicted in figures 1 and 2 hereinbelow, is
mounted on the base table 1, wherein the sliding mounting platform 3
assembles all major components therein. Numeral 4 represents the
mechanical arrangement created between the sliding platform 3 and the
electric motor 2, vertically mounted therein towards enabling the longitudinal
9
sliding provisions therein. The mounting table 3, at assemblylmounting
pr @ visions 5, is assembled with a shaft 7 wherein the said shaft 7, at both its
ends, is preferably fitted with two leather buffinglcurling wheels 6. The shaft 7 is
able to perform rotation at certain high RPM, using one electric motor 10, duly
engaged with the shaft 7 through the beltlchain and pulleylgear arrangement therein.
Alongwith the said shaft 7, the leather buffinglcurling wheels 6 perform rotational
motion and consequently the machine operators mechanically place the teeth
profiles of pairs of combs on the comb mounting hangers 9 towards realizing the
teeth curling operation, preferably applying some solid and wet grinding agents. The
whole functioning of the teeth curling machine is realized through a control panel 11
towards electric power supply and the suitable control mechanism provisioned for
the specific work being done on the said machine.
When power supply is made available to the proposed machine, the shaft 7
rotates both the leather buffinglcurling wheels 6 simultaneously. The teeth curling
machine operators mechanically place the teeth profiles of pairs of combs on the
comb mounting hangers 9 towards realizing the teeth curling operation, preferably
applying some solid and wet grinding agents. Some solid but dough like material
towards grinding, smoothening and curling of the teeth profile of the comb is applied
on the comb mounting hangers 9 as well as on the leather curlinglbuffing wheels 6.
Due to high speed rotation of the leather curlinglbuffing wheels 6, in presence of
said dough like grinding material, the comb's teeth profile gets effectively curled to
provide very smooth curled and rounded teeth. The leather curlinglbuffing wheels 6
are basically made by stacking the pieces of leather and fixing them together as
10
cylindrical drums, and they are then mounted on the shaft at their central axis line,
kC ep ing the round surface of the wheel 6 parallel to the surface of the comb
mounting hanger 9.
I Scope of the present invention:
Although the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiment,
this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various
modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of
the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to
the description of the invention. It is therefore contemplated that such modifications
can be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention as
defined.
