The Combined Process Of Cut Panel Washing Of Knitted Single Jersey Fabric With Enzymatic Bio Polishing In Presence Of Surfactant
Abstract: ABSTRACT. Cut Panel Laundering (CPL) and bio- polishing process is combined to reduce the energy and water consumption, reduce the fabric strength loss caused by prolonged exposure to wet conditions using Enzymes, combination of fatty alcohol ethoxylated surfactant with HLB of 13, surfactants at a pH range of 6-9 temperature 400C to 600 C; treatment time 15 to 45 mins; MLR- 1:6 to 1:8 in the laundering machine operating at the speed of 500 rpm; raising the the temperature is raised (800C) to deactivate the enzymes; adding hydrophilic softners, followed by tumble drying at 600C for 60 minutes with rotary steam ironing, improving the surface propensity to surface fuzzing and pilling of the fabric maximu to extended of grade 2 as per ISO 12945 standard test method; reducing Spirality from 25% to 5% as per the standard test method for Spirality after laundering ISO 16322 part 3- 2005/ ISO 6330: 2012 in addition to saving on water and energy.
