Specification

Background of the Invention
Field of the Invention
This present invention describes about the system and method of reading and writing in the optical disk simultaneously while Reading/Playing is in force. The system has two laser emitters; one is used to write the content in unused sector of the same optical disk and another one is used to read the content from the same optical disk.
Description of the Related Art
The present optical disk recorder provides only READ or WRITE at a time. There is no optical disk recorder presently with that option like recording and playing in the same optical disk while Reading/Playing is in force. The user wants to write a content in the optical disk while playing the content from the same is not possible using the present optical recording systems.
The Patent entitled 'Device and method for processing information from hybrid optical disk ' [US 5959946, 1999] explains the method of hybrid optical disk includes a read head and read/write head. The read head detects the information in first area of the hybrid optical disk and the write head detects the information in the second area of the same disk may be in different medium and different format of recording. This patent describes the method of reading and writing the information in different format/medium of the same disk not on the same time.
The Patent entitled 'Optical read/write device' [US 0229347A1, 2009] explains the device for reading and/or writing an optical disk includes a base, optical pickup head and a driving mechanism for slidably driving the optical pickup head. It is a mechanism of driving an optical pickup head of an optical read and/or write device. This is not explaining the method of read and writes simultaneously in the same optical disk while Reading/Playing is in force.

Summary of the Invention
This Patent describes the system and method of doing READ and WRITE operation in the optical disk simultaneously while Reading/Playing is in force. This patent describes the system and method to write continuously in the unused sector of the optical disk while reading/playing going on the same optical disk. This system is based on the buffer solution to read and write at same time in the optical disk. The optical disk may have a content of audio, video or any other data. Depends on the request of the user the system playing/reading the content from the optical disk via the buffer/secondary memory arrangements. At the same lime user can do the write operation using this system in the same optical disk. The user can do the write operation on the same optical disk while reading the content from it.
The system has two lasers, one is used for writing and other is used for reading namely detecting laser and burning laser respectively. The system has a beam splitter to split the lasers. The detecting laser is connected with the processor through the buffer memory and the buffer controller. The detecting laser reads (READ) the content from the disk and stores it in the buffer as per the requirement of the processor. The burning laser writes (WRITE) the content into the optical disk from main memory/hard disk as per the processor request in the same as the read operation. Once the READ operations complete, the beam splitter turns and WRITE operations continuous.
If the optical disk contains audio or video means, this embodiment will use 70% of buffer memory to store the READ content from the optical disk. The System will take some time (X minutes) to fill the buffer. If the detecting laser speed is greater then the processor reading speed, we can fix the threshold limit of the buffer as the half the time (X/2 minutes) what buffer takes to fill. If the detecting laser speed is very high, the threshold time should be very less. The Burning Laser starts burning the content for every X/2 minutes in unused sectors and detecting laser will read the content continuously for next X/2 minutes. If the content of the optical disk is data and the user wants to read and write simultaneously means, as per the request of the user, the detecting laser will interrupt the WRITE operation and READ the content of the optical disk.

Brief Description of Accompanying Drawings
In the drawings:
The Figure-1 represents the main block diagram of the system of invention having the representation of detecting laser, buming laser, beam splitter, optical disk holder. Main memory, buffer memory, controllers and processor.
The Figure-2 represents the flow chart of the invention system and method. Each stage of the method of working is explained using blocks.
Detailed Description of the Invention with Reference to Accompanying Drawings
The Figure-1 explains the complete illustrated view of the invention method with the representation of detecting laser 107, burning laser 108, beam splitter 109, optica! disk holder 110, Main memory 104, buffer memory 106, controllers 103 105 and processor 102.
The user can give the commands to the processor 102 regarding the process of doing READ and WRITE in the optical disk simultaneously. The processor 102 of the system starts the operation of reading by using detecting laser 107. The detecting laser starts reading the data from the optical disk 110 and fills it to the buffer memory 106. Once the buffer memory fills, the processor starts reading the content from it. At the same time the beam splitter 109 turns and the writing operation does simultaneously in the unused sector of the optical disk from the main memory 104 of the system. The content of the buffer memory processed from the processor, if it is reached the threshold limit, the beam splitter turns again and the detecting laser 107 starts filling the buffer. The process will continue until the write operation has finished. If the write operation has finished, the system will do read operation only.

The Figure-2 explains the complete flow of this invention. It is a chart describes about the operation and functions of the embodiment. The system starts READ and WRITE processes 201 whenever the user gives the commands. Initially detecting laser starts reading 202 from the optical disk and fills the buffer memory in X minutes 203. If buffer gets full 204, the beam splitter turns 206 and the burning laser starts writing process 207. At the same time the processor starts reading the content from the buffer memory 205 and do the user requests. Once the buffer reaches the threshold limit (X/2 Minutes) 208, the beam splitter stops the write operation 209 and the detecting laser continues the reading to fill the buffer 202. The detecting laser takes less time to read and fill the buffer compare to the processor read speed of buffer memory.
