PATENTS RULES, 2003
(COMPLETE SPECIFICATION)
TITLE OF INVENTION - "THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO AN ISOLATOR TEST JIG, AND MORE PARTICULARLY TO A ISOLATOR TEST JIG, IN THE FIELD OF HIGH POWER TRANSMISSION LINE".
NAME OF APPLICANT - "RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED"
ADDRESS OF APPLICANT - RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED
DHANU THERMAL POWER STATION, DAHANU ROAD, THANE 401 608, INDIA
The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:-
The present invention relates to an isolator test jig, and more particularly to a isolator test jig, in the field of high power transmission line.
This disclosure relates to testing of electrical devices prior to final assembly, and has particular application to performing tests on partially assembled electrical devices.
Testing electrical devices is performed in a jig with at least one conductive frame element. The electrical device is positioned, in at least a partially unassembled state. The electrical device is positioned in electrical contact with the conductive frame element on a first side so as to establish electrical contact with the electrical device. An electrode is placed in communication with electrically energized parts on the electrical device through an electrical contact point. The conductive frame element and the electrode act as electrical contact connectors for testing the electrical device.
PRIOR ART:-
US patent no. 8,408,069 describes about A torsion springiest jig adapted to assist a torsion spring to show different elastic statuses includes a bottom holder, a sliding element slidably mounted on the bottom holder and a plurality of hinge pin assemblies. The bottom holder includes a first modulating fastener having a first groove and a second modulating fastener having a' second groove perpendicularly positioned under the first modulating fastener. An intersection of the first and second groove forms a first locating perforation. The sliding element includes a third modulating fastener having a third groove and a fourth modulating fastener having a fourth groove perpendicularly positioned under the third modulating fastener.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:-
An object of the present in invention is that an isolator contacts are mounted on porcelain posts. Alignment of contacts over isolators is time consuming and tedious activity as it has to be carried out at height & with uncomfortable body position, as person has to stand over porcelain post insulators. .
Further object of the present invention is that the an alignment of isolators leads to increases equipment shutdown time i.e. non availability of equipment / bay, in the traditional system of alignment, an alleged invention drastically reduces the alignment time, in order to avoid power shut down resulted to void in convenience.
Important object of the present invention is that the, which reduces the dangerous activities by using the novel jig, which can be used at ground.
Very important object of the present invention is that it can align perfectly without any defects.
Most important object of the present invention is that the, if severe hot spot developed on isolator of Generator Transformer bay, unit shutdown will be required to attend hot spot. Hence hot spot will cause generation loss and in turn a revenue loss, these problems have been completely solved by alleged invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:-
The present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art by reading the following description thereof, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a test jig according to the present invention;
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:-
A movable and/or compact test jig adapted to assist in fixing the isolator moving and fix contacts are required to be aligned perfectly with a minimum resistance between fix and moving contacts. The testing jig provides a facility of setting up isolator pads and contact set at ground level and matching of fix and moving contacts prior to equipment outage, to contact of moving blade to be assembled, the said jig comprising a bottom holder or concrete foundation (1) as shown in fig. 1,

fixed on ground with a desired distance, one or more support structure (2), made up of metal frame for supporting the assembly of the jig, the support structure may be mounted vertical by mounting means, at both the corners of supporting structure there is provided bo!ting(3) for bolting the isolator job which is essential in the structure for suitably fixing the isolator. A sliding element called moving blade (4) slidably mounted on the bolting isolator (3) and a plurality of hinge pin assemblies. The bottom holder includes a control box (5) which is adapted to arrange gear assembly (6) and shafts movably arranged through motor (7) the gear shaft perpendicularly positioned through gear shaft (8) into the gear box,
Switchyard for evacuating the generated power to its distribution area through transmission line. The switchyard consists of ten bays and this is vital link between generation, transmission and distribution of power. All types of maintenance like preventive, corrective and condition based maintenance are carried out in the switchyard to maintain high level of reliability and availability of the power system. Switchyard has major high voltage electrical equipments such as breakers, isolators, power and instrument transformers, lightning arrestors, bus bars etc.
Isolators at switchyard are of rotating centre post - double break type. Isolator moving and fix contacts are required to be aligned perfectly with a minimum resistance between fix and moving contacts. Misalignment results into heating of isolator contacts which develops hot spots. Heating of electrical contacts at isolator's results into conductor snapping and severe electrical faults, failure of isolator contacts causes failure and non availability of complete feeder. Failure of isolator is also one of the reasons for initiation of cascade tripping of electrical power grid. Due to present power scenario and load conditions, availability and reliability of switchyard equipments is most important aspect for power system. To facilitate isolator contact testing facility, offline isolator testing jig developed at switchyard.
Testing jig provides facility of setting up isolator pads and contact set at ground level and matching of fix and moving contacts prior to equipment outage.

We Claim,
1. A movable and/or compact test jig adapted to assist in aligned perfectly the isolator in the high power transmission line with a minimum resistance between fix and moving contacts, set at ground level prior to equipment outage comprising a bottom holder or concrete foundation (1) as shown in fig.l, fixed on ground with a required distance , a support structure (2), made up of metal frame for supporting the assembly of the jig,
