The Process For Preparing A Stable And Palatable Pharmaceutical Composition Fat Soluble Vitamins With Vitamin C.

Abstract: THE PROCESS FOR PREPARING A STABLE AND PALATABLE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FAT SOLUBLE VITAMINS WITH VITAMIN C. Fat soluble vitamins like vitamin E is used along with vitamin C for many therapeutic indications. Vitamin E also has an unpleasant taste. For this reason it is supplied in soft gelatin capsules. It is not possible to formulate a stable and palatable liquid pharmaceutical composition consisting of fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin E and vitamin C. According to present invention, a process for manufacturing stable fixed dose composition containing fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin E and Vitamin C is described. According to present invetion, process of manufacturing the said composition involves preparing a solution of fat soluble vitamin in a combination involves preparing a solution of fat souble vitamin in a combination of done hydrophilic surfactant and self emulsifiying agents such as polysorbate and glycerol monosterate respectively. To this, vitamin C along with suitable stabilizers such as disodium EDTA, sodium bicarbonate is added.
