The Smart Navigator Using Gsm

Abstract: ‘To err is Human’… In daily life, we face situations where we forget the commonly used articles like Spectacles, vehicle keys etc. In this project, we developed a smart system to locate misplaced articles using a combination of an Arduino microcontroller, Bluetooth module, buzzer, and LED. The system is controlled through an Arduino Bluetooth control app available on smartphones. The same solution is provided by using a GSM module also, to enable long distance communication. When the user sends the command, the buzzer emits a sound and the LED lights up, giving a visual indication about the presence of the article. The phone number of the owner is displayed on the phone, so that the person nearer to the object can inform the owner. At the same time, the owner gets the location of the object in his phone, helping him to quickly find the object. This project provides a practical solution to a common problem. The result is an efficient, user-friendly device that enhances daily convenience.

Specification

Description:This circuit is designed to help locate a missing article, such as spectacles and vehicle key. This uses an Arduino microcontroller, a GSM or a Bluetooth module, a I2C LCD display, an LED, a buzzer and a display unit. GSM module helps to extend the range of communication. The block diagram clearly indicates the connection between different components. The different components used in the hardware are:
1. Arduino:
• The Arduino acts as the central controller of the entire circuit. It coordinates communication between the various components and executes the logic for locating the missing item. The Arduino receives signals from the GSM module and processes the data to trigger the appropriate response, such as turning on the LED, activating the buzzer, or displaying information on the LCD.
TX and RX pins of Arduino are connected the GSM module to handle serial communication, allowing the Arduino to send and receive SMS or other data.
2. GSM Module:
• The GSM module allows the circuit to communicate over a mobile network. It can receive an SMS or a call from a user. Upon receiving a command (like an SMS), the GSM module sends the relevant data to the Arduino, which then processes the signal to locate the missing article.
3. Bluetooth Module:

• A Bluetooth module helps devices to communicate wirelessly using Bluetooth technology. It allows for the exchange of data between devices like computers, smartphones, and other electronic systems, over short distances approximately up to 100 meters.

The project is done using the Bluetooth as well as the GSM technology. But in the final version, only GSM module will be used.

4. Display Unit:
• The LCD display shows status messages or instructions to the user. LCD display is used for the prototype. The phone number of the person will be displayed in an appropriate place, in the actual model.
5. LED:
• The LED serves as a visual indicator. It could blink or light up continuously when the item is being located, giving a visual clue to the user.

6. Buzzer:
• The buzzer provides an audible alert to help locate the missing item. When the Arduino receives a location request (e.g., via SMS), it can trigger the buzzer to sound, helping the user find the article by following the sound. A common buzzer is used in the prototype. In the actual product, the sound can be selected by the owner of the article.
7. Software:
• The user has to download the App for the Object locator. The GSM based location identifier gives the location of the object when the user sends the code.
, C , C , Claims:1. An intelligent object-locating system which can be used to locate the commonly used objects like spectacles and vehicle keys.
2. A GSM module connected to the microcontroller, enables wireless communication with a smartphone application.
3. The unique feature which displays the phone number of the owner, which helps the people nearer to the object to identify the owner.
4. Activating the buzzer and LED upon receiving the command, thereby providing auditory and visual indicators for the location of the misplaced object.
5. The unique feature which helps the owner to get the location of the object.
6. The components are housed in a compact and user-friendly design, facilitating ease of use and portability.
7. A system which is capable of locating various commonly misplaced items, including but not limited to spectacles and vehicle keys, thereby providing a versatile solution to everyday problems.
