“The System For Prediction Of Crop Disease Using Smartphone Through Artificial Intelligence Algorithm And Computer Application”

Abstract: The present invention discloses an artificial intelligence algorithm and computer application for prediction of crop disease using smart phone. User has to connect the application online via smart phone. The particular crop and its specie which are cultivated has to select from crop list of application. Image of infected crop should be taken by smart phone and have to upload to the application. The server at backend searches the uploaded image pattern with database. As match found server would provide the name of disease and treatment for it to user on smart phone.

, Description:TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention is related to Artificial intelligence algorithm and computer application or system for prediction of crop disease not only for farming but also for research purpose of agriculture.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
India is agricultural country. From history it is seen that farming is the main work for most of the citizen. As Technologies enters in India, the other sector got introduced and people get attracted towards new sector. But still farming and farmers are most important part of India, not only culturewide but also economic wise.
Modern technologies have given human, the ability to produce enough food to meet the demand of more than billions of people. But food security remains threatened by a number of factors such as climate change, the decline in pollinators, plant diseases and like that.
Plant diseases are not only a threat to food security at the global scale, but can also have disastrous consequences for small farmers whose livelihoods depend on healthy crops.
In the developing country like India, more than 80 percent of the agricultural production is generated by small farmers, and reports of yield loss of more than 50% due to pests and diseases. The largest fraction of hungry people lives in small farming households making small farmers a group that's particularly vulnerable to pathogen-derived disruptions in food supply.
Various efforts have been developed to prevent crop loss due to diseases.
Pesticide is one of it. Pesticides use in past decades increased drastically for prevention from disease. But Pesticides can cause short-term adverse health effects, called acute effects, as well as chronic adverse effects that can occur months or years after exposure. Examples of acute health effects include stinging eyes, rashes, blisters, blindness, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and death.
Also, clinically proven that asthma, autism and learning disabilities, birth defects and reproductive disfunction, diabetes, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, and several types of cancer can cause due to pesticides exposure from food.
Vast use of pesticide can be avoided if identification of disease can be done when it first appears. But identifying a disease correctly when it first appears is a crucial step for efficient disease management.
In past decades identification of disease is supported by agricultural organisation such as local plant clinic. In more recent time such identification of disease diagnosis can be provided online.
The present disclosed invention solves the above said problem. It is an artificial intelligence algorithm and computer application for predication of the crop disease to avoid any yield loss.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
The main object of this invention is the artificial intelligence algorithm and computer application for predication of crop disease.
Another object of this invention is, the image of affected crop at early stage is taken by using smart phone.
Other object of this invention is that all data regarding crops, its species, its diseases with images and the treatment is stored in database.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION –
The present invention discloses, an Artificial Intelligence algorithm and computer application for predication of crop disease with the help of smart phone.
As user start this application on smart phone, he has to choose, which crop with particular species has been cultivated. Then image of affected crop has taken through smart phone and this image uploaded to application. User send request for disease prediction and its treatment. At backend the server on system search this image pattern for particular crop and particular species. When the data found, system will search the treatment for particular disease of that particular crop. The system will show the treatment of that particular disease via smart phone.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses an Artificial Intelligence algorithm and computer application for prediction of crop diseases using smart phone.
The present invention comprises the components such as;
Smart Phone –
To select particular crop with particular species from the list
To Take image of infected crop and upload the image to application
Backend application server –
All data is stored.
Searching the uploaded image pattern with image database.
Finding particular disease match with image pattern.
Finding treatment for particular disease.
Sending response to user through smart phone.
Databases –
The database contains all crop records which are cultivated in India.
Also, all diseases records for particular crop with its image pattern is stored in database. And also, particular disease and its treatment for particular crop is also stored.
The main foundation of this application is Image pattern of crop diseases.
The database should provide all possible images of symptoms of all diseases for particular crop. When user request for disease prediction and its treatment, the server has to check uploaded image pattern with stored image pattern of particular crop.

The present invention “an Artificial Intelligence algorithm and computer application for prediction of crop diseases using smart phone” comprising of following steps;
Step 1) User has to connect to the presented application online through smart phone.
Step 2) The particular crop and species which has been cultivated, would select from crop list.
Step 3) Image of infected crop would be taken via smart phone.
Step 4) Image would be uploaded to application.
Step 5) Request for disease prediction and for its treatment.
Step 6) Backend server search the database for particular crop and particular image pattern of infected crop.
Step 7) As data get, server send information to user via smart phone.
Step 8) User would know which disease is affecting crop.
Step 9) Using Proper treatment suggestion, user would act to prevent the loss of yield.
Crop Diseases are major food threats that should have to overcome before it leads to further loss of the entire field. But, often farmers unable to distinguish between similar symptoms but ace different diseases. This will mislead to wrong or overdosage of fertilizers. And which cause loss of yield or severe effect on human being.
The example which is similar to the present invention is, “Tomato Plant Diseases Detection System using Image Processing” is working in Nepal.
This system detects diseases such as late blight, gray spot, bacterial canker in tomato in early stage. But this system is only limited for detection of disease. No treatment is suggested.
Another example is, “The disease detection system in Potato plant”. This system classifies the disease, state cause of disease and suggest particular pesticide to be used for treatment.
