Thermal And Sound Insulating Composite Roofing Sheet

Abstract: A thermal and sound insulating composite roofing sheet (100) is provided. The composite roofing sheet (100) comprises a first sheet (102) and a second sheet (104) secured to the first sheet (102). The at least portion of the second sheet (104) is provided with a plurality of corrugations (105) defining a gap (Wgap) between the first sheet (102) and the second sheet (104). The shape of the plurality of corrugations (105) are so selected as to reduce contact area with the first layer (102). The first sheet (102) and the second sheet (104) are made of metal such as steel. The plurality of corrugations (105) help reduce conduction of heat from the first sheet (102) to the second sheet (104), thereby reducing the flow of heat energy through the composite roofing sheet (100)
