The following specification particularly describes the nature of invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

Title:
Three layered Safe Boxes for transportation of Agricultural Products
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to three layered safe boxes for transportation of agriculture products. More particularly it relates to the boxes safe and useful for transporting delicate, perishable agriculture products such as fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Background of invention:
Currently all agricultural products typically sent for premium/ export markets are packed in monolithic light weight corrugated boxes or in expanded polystyrene (EPS) boxes. These boxes serve the basic need of packaging for exports like insulation and weather protection for transit from the farm to the retail food chain distributors or to end consumers. The boxes provided by the present invention protect the fruits, vegetables and flowers are simple cubic boxes from atmospheric effects during transit to the destination.
Commonly available boxes used for the transportation of fruits, vegetables and flowers are damaged by crushing load and cause wastage of the produce during transportation of the product because of insufficiency in the existing package to sustain crushing load.
Existing corrugated packaging design for such type of boxes absorbs water both internally and externally. Owing to water absorption the packaging is weakened and this process damages the agricultural produce. Existing packaging also is not insect and termite resistant.

Existing boxes provide no indication to users if boxes have been dropped and damaged and users often get surprised when the contents inside are damaged after the box is opened.
The main object of the present invention is to provide three layered safe boxes for transportation of agricultural products exemplified by but not limited to fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Another object is to provide three layered box having better tear strength with reduction in overall thickness and weight.
Yet another object is to provide thermal efficient aesthetically appealing transportation boxed. This will not only help the transporters and farmers but will also serve as a great impetus to reduce overhead costs of the clearing and forwarding and package industry
Yet another object is to provide agricultural boxes which provide an indication to the user regarding any physical or mechanical damage thereto.
Still another object is to provide the boxes with a unique impact and damage resistant combination at a lighter product cost and weight.
Yet another object is to provide the transportation boxes which are insect and termite resistant without using pesticides or harmful chemical ingredients thus protecting the organic nature of the produce.
The present invention thus provides a surprise combination which results from the process of combining three layers viz. a fluid proofing layer, a stiffener and a coating which causes an improvement in the tear strength

accompanied by reduction in overall thickness and weight besides being thermally efficient and aesthetically appealing to users.
Brief description of the drawing
Fig. 1 accompanying this specification shows the construction of the
Agricultural box provided by the present invention in open position.
Detailed description of the drawing
Referring to figure 1 the three layered safe boxes for transportation of agricultural product comprises, a box with a lid (4) adaptably fixing on the lower storage space (7), the lower storage space attached to the lid by means of hinges (5), the said lid having a locking arrangement (1), the storage space (7) and the lid (4) having plurality of flow apertures (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention the lid (4) and the lower storage space (7) comprises combination of corrugation flutes with a film of poly propylene and inner layer (3) of expanded polystyrene.
In still another embodiment the surface of the inner polystyrene interior is shaped to accommodate shocks during transit or accidental drop of the box customized with a specially designed profile to dissipate shock energy received. The computation of the profile is specifically evolved contour by Computation develops a non-transmitting or energy absorptive surface.
In yet another embodiment the plurality of flow apertures through which the breathing rate for different agricultural produce may be adjusted resulting in an enhancement of shelf life or optimization thereof.

In yet another embodiment the spacing between fruits, vegetables or flowers or product to be transported may be adjusted so as to ensure that the micro bacterium of one fruit does not travel and contaminate the neighbouring ones.
In still another embodiment the lower storage space (7) and the polystyrene interior is protected by a net (not shown in the figure) which prevents harmful insects from entering the boxes.
In yet another embodiment the plurality of flow apertures (6) allow the air to enter but the net between the storage space and the polystyrene interior prevents the entry of harmful insects through these pluralities of flow apertures.
The agricultural boxes provided by the present invention have following advantages.
1. Slender thickness
2. Combination of insulation and strength
3. User friendly handling.
4. Moisture absorption termite and insect resistant
5. Protection from harmful insects by natural methods

We Claim:
