, Description:THREE LEGGED TRIANGULAR FIXTURE FOR MANUFACTURING OF WIND-BOX UPPER AND LOWER PANELS WITH BENT TUBES AND PLATES FOR HIGH PRESSURE STEAM GENERATORS

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present subject matter described herein, relates to a method of manufacturing wind-box upper and lower panels in high pressure steam generators. More particularly the present invention relates to a three legged triangular fixture used in manufacturing wind-box upper and lower panels in high pressure steam generators.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
[002] Wind-box upper and lower panel assemblies are positioned in all four corners for joining water wall panels in high pressure steam generators. Figure 1 shows the line sketch of a Wind-box Upper/Lower panel. It is formed of Bent tubes 1 and plates 2. These tubes 1 and the plates 2 have both bend and twist at its ends making it difficult to form and manufacture. The tubes 1 and the plates 2 are first bent and then welded one by one from the first tube to the last bent tube. Positioning of these bent tubes and bent plates are difficult and time consuming. Earlier these panels were manufactured in workshops by placing loose tubes on a single plane platform with support at ends. It used to take more time and involves so many other resources.
[003] Accordingly, more time and resources are used to manufacture the panels. Due to loose tubes, accuracy of the panels also suffers. Hence to effectively manufacture these panels present subject matter provides technical solution for increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the panels. Accordingly, the present subject provides a indigenous fixture to aid the manufacturing of these panels.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[004] The principal objective of the present invention is to provide a three legged triangular fixture for placing the bend tubes with bend ends facing downward to form wind-box upper and lower panels.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[005] The present subject matter relates to a three legged triangular fixture/strucutre for placing the bend tubes with bend ends facing downward to form wind-box upper and lower panels. The three legged triangular fixture is made in triangular shape with a support structure from top vortex to bottom. Further this structure is elevated to a single uniform plane by base support base. The three legged triangular structure is made according to the design of the panels. Further, the present subject matter relates a method for fabrication of the wind-box upper and lower panels using the three legged triangular structure. Firstly tubes are fixed at the top and bottom on the three legged triangular structure/fixture made to suit the final dimensions. Once these tubes are arrested then all other tubes in between are arranged according to the drawing dimensions with suitable fin fit up so as to maintain pitches at both ends and in the middle portion. Once fit up is completed, all the fitted tubes are fully welded on both sides and further operations followed.
