Abstract: Abstract-Performance Predicting of a primary school student is of great concern in the school education managements. Main purpose of many of the well known high school, higher education and technical colleges are successful as they have meritorious students and teachers with them and the best system working for them to grow continuously. The Main goal of using this survey consisted of 26 questions, than applying Data mining suitable techniques in practice tends to be Prediction and Description. In these questions, we proposed a method to predict based on school attendance, area of school and student previous result in grade system, year Academic Performance of the student using the real data. Comparing the current performance of student patterns, we possible to predict the best suitable performance of the student in future.
1. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the nature of invention: The following specification describes the nature of invention:
To Predict and Analyze Academic Performance of Primary Education Using Computational Data Mining Models
Field of the Invention:
In the present investigation, academic performance of primary education has been predicted and analyzed using computational data mining models. Betul district is chosen for the study because it comprises of Rural as well as Urban areas private and Government Schools in different blocks. There is a vast difference in culture of Rural and Urban schools, in district blocks in the betul district. The present study reveals that the performance at primary level School Attendance and Pervious Grade is due to social background and poverty. The government has opened some more schools and EGS under SSA norms in remote; villages so that education can be within the reach of unprivileged and deprived sections of the society but all efforts have failed to produce the desired results. The children may be enrolled in school register and official data may be showing high retention and low Attendance rate, Family Size, Area of school, pervious Grade but actual scene is quiet different behind the curtain. Presently there is hardly any school without teacher and government has tried to appoint teachers in per school but many of them are still not running properly. The teachers usually remain absent from their schools for long periods and the situation deteriorates or other reason.
Background of the Invention and Prior Art:
The Betul district in state of Madhya Pradesh India is the universe of the study. Keeping the time and area constraint in mind, Following blocks are taken for the study they are Rural and urban area primary school, the blocks namely Chicholi, Ghoradongri, Bhainsdehi, Amla , and Betul.
Simple formula for finding out the percentage of student those in Attendance in school and area of school, type of school and pervious Grade was used. To find out the extent how to improve
student grade in respect of sample schools at primary level were prepared and studied. Class wise and area school wise were analyzed intensively in order to find out the cause of region and it's improve, also find those are student at any class or school is grade is high grade so what is base region is grade is high and how to improve low grade student to high Grade.
This study provides opportunities for better understanding of Betul district primary school processes; the main objective of this study is to model the primary school student academic performance using data mining technique in order to achieve this objective Data regarding comprehensive educational survey 2013-14 was collected from the school class students, Teacher/head and parents
The patent no-US 20120028230 Al describes about the invention which relates to a system and method for enhancing the identification of soft-skill, self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence learning needs, the development of and monitoring of improvement in self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attributes. A method comprises establishing a baseline measurement of self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attributes in the individual by presenting the individual a series of self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence specific questions or statements requiring multiple choice or graded responses and recording the responses; identifying from the baseline measurement specific self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attributes in need of improvement; optionally communicating the specific self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attribute improvement needs identified to the individual or a teacher or coach thereto; providing to and/or facilitating the individual one or a plurality of self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence raising exercises or learning modules designed to address the self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attribute improvement needs of the individual; establishing a revised measurement of self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence attributes in the individual by presenting the individual a series of self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence specific questions or statements requiring multiple choice or graded responses and recording the responses; and comparing the revised measurement with the baseline measurement and reporting any change.
The publication no-US 8538319 B2 describes system and method for real time tracking of student performance based on state educational standards. The invention consists system for providing feedback on educational standards within schools includes an interface providing access to a plurality of established educational standards which may be downloaded into a database of the system. A plurality of control modules enables a user to establish educational programs specifically associated with at least one of the downloaded established educational standards and
receive feedback on student performance. Real time reports on student performance are provided responsive to the received feedback on student performance.
The patent no-US 20140134588 Al describes an educational testing network: Systems and methods are disclosed for serving fresh media content while minimizing Internet traffic by periodically checking content freshness between a local server and a remote server; if a stale content exists on the local server, replacing the stale content with a fresh content from the remote server; and serving the fresh content from the local server. The system also tests the student by adaptively modifying the predetermined testing level based on the diagnosis of each testing group and repeating tests at the adaptively modified predetermined testing level for a plurality of sub-tests.
The patent no EP 2174313 A2 describes a system for adaptive teaching and learning Device, system, and method of adaptive teaching and learning. For example, a teaching/learning system includes a real-time class management module to selectively allocate first and second digital learning objects for performance, substantially in parallel, on first and second student stations, respectively.
The patent no US 20040180317 Al describes a system and method for analysis and feedback of student performance Embodiments of systems and methods discloses the analysis of student performance and to provide feedback regarding the student performance, for example, to an instructor, other school official, parent or directly to the student. In certain embodiments, the methods and systems communicate in real time with the educational program, for example, math or science games, lessons, quizzes or tests, to provide contemporaneous feedback or recommendations to the instructor regarding student performance. In addition, embodiments of the systems and methods evaluate and provide feedback of the effectiveness of the educational program itself, and track progress at different levels, for example, a student, class, school or district level, over a multitude of different durations and time periods. Still further, embodiments of the systems and methods perform comprehensive data analysis and statistical computations.
Object of the Invention-
1. It appears from the study that the rate of low grade result in rural areas is higher that of urban areas in private and government school students.
2. The class attendance rate in students living in rural area in class J at primary stage is
higher as compared to that of other classes. The rate goes on decreasing with the advancement of class. 3. The study shows that people from scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities are not so aware of education. They do not encourage their children for education properly. They are more interested to engage their children in their vocation and other tasks related to their earning. The girl children are engaged in domestic works such as helping parents at home looking after younger brothers and sisters, attending cattle or supplementing family income.
The data mining techniques that are used are association rules and decision tree which help to improve the student result. They help to uncover the hidden patterns from the large data. These hidden patterns are useful for both teachers and Guardian. Decision trees are generated depending on various attributes like area of school, school type, The information which we retrieved will help to improve the result of students, to improve the performance of students, students regular attendance in the school , carefully designing course curriculum, to motivate students and to group students depending upon various parameters, number of male and female students admitted in Location of school, Attendance of class, and its previous grade ,we can find how many students are admitted in primary School at this year.
