Claims:We claim:
1) The traffic control and warning systems that optimize traffic flow based on traffic patterns comprising of;
a. GPS navigation for locating the vehicles place;
b. Uploading the traffic report to the server;
c. Decoding the information for controlling the signal through traffic light control system;
d. Connecting traffic signal unit to control center ;
e. Internet connectivity such as Wi-Fi or internet or 3G SIM; 4G SIM;
Wherein the traffic lights are controlled through Traffic light control system (relay driver) control the lights on traffic signal and controlled from the remote location by the database of the website, specially created for controlling the system by sending the commands through the internet to the receiver.
2) The traffic control and warning systems that optimize traffic flow based on traffic patterns as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said IoT board consists of the 8 bit Data I/O pins and so it is provided with the 8 switches to control the 8 separate devices connected to this board.
3) The traffic control and warning systems that optimize traffic flow based on traffic patterns as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system helps for the better operation of the system by controlling 2 traffic signals with 6 switches and remaining 2 switches for the purpose of the Alarm units.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a traffic control and warning systems. The present invention more particularly relates to a traffic control and warning systems that incorporate the use of fuzzy logic or other expert systems.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Traffic congestion is a growing problem worldwide causing time and fuel waste, pollution and even stress. Everybody is impatient to reach their destination in minimal time. The problem becomes really severe when any VIP enters to the city. All the traffic is stopped suddenly and huge resources of police and public are used. Managing these situations especially when it is a metropolitan city is a tough nut to crack. In Indian road-traffic, the problems like congestion, unpredictable travel time are taking a serious shape which is also chaotic and noisy and it becomes worse when the traffic is made at halt for even few minutes. Many kilometers of traffic jams takes places within few minutes.
Present methods of controlling traffic are in need of improvement. One area needing improvement is the method of controlling traffic lights. A significant amount of time is wasted while waiting for a traffic light to turn green. Motorists are oftentimes forced to wait at a red light while there is little or no cross traffic. This type of situation often causes drivers to become very impatient or frustrated. Angry and frustrated drivers are dangerous and are more prone to cause accidents. People not only waste precious time while waiting for traffic lights to turn green but also while sitting idle in traffic congestion or traffic jams. Again, these situations cause certain drivers to become very angry and frustrated.
Traffic flow can also be improved by providing motorists with real time, relevant traffic information. Many times, traffic information is available via local radio stations. Radio stations do not, however, necessarily provide real time information. Thus, motorists often find themselves caught in a traffic jam before the radio station is able to inform them of the traffic situation. Moreover, the current traffic information provided by local radio stations may not be relevant for some specific drivers, particularly drivers at different geographic locations or headed in different directions. Also, the radio traffic reports are generally for commuters who travel via freeways or highways and are generally not for drivers in neighborhoods and on smaller/local streets and roads. The lack of localized traffic information prevents motorists from avoiding local traffic jams or congestion areas that are not reported by the radio stations. Therefore, improved methods of controlling traffic lights and providing real time, relevant traffic information to motorists based on their location and travel direction are needed and desired.
Present traffic warning signs are confined to freeway applications. Such signs do not use fuzzy logic or expert systems analysis with real time updates based on traffic light phase splits, real time traffic analysis, or GPS based location calculations of sign and traffic congestion or locations of other problems. Present systems also do not use portable signs with GPS receivers to calculate locations and then use the calculated locations in determination of information to be displayed.
Furthermore, there is a need for traffic control and warning systems and methods that optimize traffic flow based on traffic patterns and other factors. There is a need to integrate control information into comprehensive motor vehicle warning systems and methods that warn or advise drivers of situations that should be avoided.
The present invention uses fuzzy logic or expert system algorithms and GPS technology to provide an improved, integrated system and method for controlling traffic lights and traffic flow and to provide current, real time, up-to-date, relevant traffic information to motorists.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to provide to integrate control information into comprehensive motor vehicle warning systems that warn or advise drivers of situations that should be avoided.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a system with an improved, integrated system for controlling traffic lights and traffic flow and to provide current, real time, up-to-date, relevant traffic information to motorists
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH RESPECT TO DRAWINGS:
The present invention is a traffic control and management system using IOT. The present invention provides control information into comprehensive motor vehicle warning systems that warn or advise drivers of situations that should be avoided. The system of the present invention with an improved, integrated system for controlling traffic lights and traffic flow and to provide current, real time, up-to-date, relevant traffic information to motorists.
In one embodiment, the vehicle unit consists of the GPS navigation in it. The location report is immediately uploaded to the server (database of the website) through which the location tracking is thus made easy to track and also to prevent the misuse of this system. The Internet connection between the Control center and the traffic system enables the user to transmit the control signal to the receiver. The traffic light control system decodes the information into the machine language and control the signal.
In another embodiment, we can connect traffic signal unit to control center without using any wired cabling system to reduce the chance of failure. The system should be strong enough to provide a good speed of internet connectivity to provide efficient operation. It can be established using 3G Sim or Wi-Fi Modem both are acceptable. Traffic light control system (relay driver) control the lights on traffic signal. A Relay driver IC is an electro-magnetic switch that will be used whenever needed a low voltage circuit to switch a light bulb ON and OFF which is connected to 220V mains supply. Relays have unique properties and are replaced with solid state switches that are strong than solid-state devices. High current capacities, capability to stand ESD and drive circuit isolation are the unique properties of Relays. It can be used to switch the 240V lamp with the help of the 5V power supply from the data output pins.
The IoT system is controlled from the remote location by the database of the website , specially created for controlling the system. It can control the traffic system by sending the commands through the internet to the receiver.
Here, the IoT board consists of the 8 bit Data I/O pins and so it is provided with the 8 switches to control the 8 separate devices connected to this board. This will helps for the better operation of the system by controlling 2 traffic signals with 6 switches dedicated to them, while the remaining 2 switches can be used for the purpose of the Alarm units.
This will be useful in the reduced range with high speed of traffic switching in the very minimal time. Thus we created a system of online traffic control system for smart cities. The Smart Phone Application and GPS can be upgraded to the highest possible level of accuracy of 1meter. In this situation, the accuracy is more and also the even better management can also be done (e.g. IRNSS). It can able to develop advance in future. This leads to the saving of human lives in an enormous accident with our IoT. Online tracing of the vehicles and control of traffic signals is carried out using this invention. SIM based IoT modem is used on traffic signals as Wi-Fi access is not possible every time especially in countryside areas. The system is directly implementable and real time. If the transport authorities permit, it can be implementable in real time. It can be implemented for smart cities for VIP arrival, for ambulances, police vehicles and fire brigade. It also has the live chatting feature to alert the user in case of emergency. The present invention provides Realtime location tracking and track record of the vehicles. The present invention helps to control the vehicles as well as the traffic signals if some robbery or kidnapping happens. Police can stop any vehicles from remote location without chasing and damaging public property and life and also not disturbing the traffic.
