Abstract: A transmission device that sends data for displaying in a display area for a video display device a video comprising a 3D video and a display object to be displayed overlapped on same and comprising: a division information generation means that generates division information indicating the range for each partial area comprising the display area divided into at least two areas by a horizontal boundary line; an offset information setting means that sets offset information indicating depth for 3D display of the display object in accordance with the depth of the video section of the 3D video in the partial area in which the display object is present for each of the partial areas; a stream generation means that generates a transfer stream configured including the division information the offset information and 3D video data for displaying the 3D video; and a stream transmission means that transmits the transfer stream.
