Abstract: The present disclosure relates a transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation comprising at least one phospholipid. The phospholipid is present in the liquid cleansing formulation in the range of 0.001 to 2% (w/w). The phospholipid present in the formulation can be selected from the group consisting of phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidic acid, and combinations thereof. The present disclosure also relates to a process of preparing the formulation as described herein.
CLIAMS:1. A transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation comprising of at least one phospholipid, wherein said at least one phospholipid is selected from the group consisting of phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidic acid, and combinations thereof, and wherein said at least one phospholipid weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.001 to 2%.
2. The transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in claim 1, said formulation optionally further comprising of ingredients selected from the group consisting of at least one surfactant, at least one active, at least one anti-oxidant; at least one humectant, at least one emollient, at least one pH regulator, at least one preservative, at least one fragrance, and combinations thereof.

The transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in claim 2, wherein said at least one surfactant weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 2-70%, said at least one active weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.01-10%, said at least one anti-oxidant weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.01-5%, said at least one humectant weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.005-20%, said at least one emollient weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.5-3%,said at least one pH regulator weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.5-5%, said at least one preservative weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.01-0.2%, and said at least one fragrance weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.1-1.5%.
4. The transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, wherein said formulation exhibits multiple skin benefits selected from the group consisting of skin moisturization, pH balance, skin softness, skin smoothness, dead cell removal, and combinations thereof.
5. A process for preparing a transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, said process comprising the steps of:
a. contacting at least one phospholipid to at least one humectant and heating the at a temperature in the range of 65-70ºC under stirring to obtain a first mixture;
b. contacting at least one surfactant to the first mixture and mixing it at a temperature in the range of 65-70ºC for 10-15 minutes to obtain a second mixture;
c. contacting at least one active with water and mixing at a temperature in the range of 25-30ºC for 1 to 5 minutes to obtain a solution of active; and
d. contacting the second mixture obtained in step (b) to the solution of active and mixing at a temperature in the range of 65-75ºC for 20- 30 minutes to obtain said transparent cleansing formulation.
6. A transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation comprising of:
a. lipid;
b. propylene glycol;
c. decyl glucoside;
d. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate;
e. polysorbate-20;
f. PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil;
g. glycolic acid; and
h. water.

The transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein lipid weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.01-2%, propylene glycol weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.01-1.5%, decyl glucoside weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.1-3%, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.5-5%, polysorbate-20 weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.5-2%, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 1-5%, glycolic acid weight percentage in said formulation is 0.1%, and water weight percentage in said formulation is q.s. to 100%.
8. A process for preparing a transparent alcohol free aqueous liquid cleansing formulation as claimed in any of the claims 6-7, said process comprising the steps of:
a. adding lipid to propylene glycol and heating the mixture at 65-70°C under stirring until the mixture becomes clear;
b. adding decyl glucoside, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, polysorbate-20 to the mixture obtained from above and mixing it for 10-15 minutes at 65-70°C;
c. adding glycolic acid to the water and mix it at 25-30°C for 1-5 minutes; and
d. adding the mixture obtained from step (b) to the mixture obtained from step (c) and mixing it at 65-75°C for 20-30 minutes to obtain said transparent cleansing formulation.
