Abstract: The present disclosure provides a transparent soap formulation with superior sensorial characteristics, which is also aesthetically pleasing with good cleansing characteristics.
Claims:1. A soap formulation comprising:
a. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate;
b. polyquaternium-7; and
c. at least one fatty acid,
wherein PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate weight concentration is in the range of 3-9%, polyquaternium-7 weight concentration is in the range of 0.07-0.4%, and said soap formulation is transparent and provides superior post-use skin sensorials.
2. The soap formulation as clamed in claim 1, wherein said at least one fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of coconut fatty acids, hystric acid, myrsitic acid, lauric acid, and combinations thereof.
3. The soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one fatty acid weight concentration in said soap formulation is in the range of 23-30%.
4. The soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one fatty acid comprises a fatty acid species having 16-18 carbon atoms chain, and said fatty acid species comprises 55-65% of total at least one fatty acid content of said soap formulation.
5. The soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one fatty acid is completely neutralized to form sodium salts of said at least one fatty acid.
6. A transparent soap formulation comprising:
a. at least one fatty acid selected from the group consisting of coconut fatty acid, hystric acid, myristic acid, lauric acid, and combinations thereof, wherein said at least one fatty acid weight concentration is in the range of 23-30%;
b. sodium hydroxide (48%);
c. glycerine having weight concentration in the range of 0.5-3%;
d. propylene glycol having weight concentration in the range of 19-26%;
e. sodium chloride having weight concentration in the range of 0.5-1.1%;
f. sodium laureth sulfate (70%) having weight concentration in the range of 19-30%;
g. PEG diacid 600 having weight concentration in the range of 0.5-2%;
h. decyl glucoside (55%) having weight concentration in the range of 2-5%;
i. disodium laureth sulfosuccinate (30%) having weight concentration in the range of 3-5%;
j. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate having weight concentration in the range of 3-9%;
k. polyquaternium-7 having weight concentration in the range of 0.07-0.4%; and
l. water up to 100%.
7. The transparent soap formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein said at least one fatty acid comprises hystric acid, myristic acid, and one more fatty acid selected from the group consisting of coconut fatty acids, and lauric acid.
8. The transparent soap formulation as claimed in claim 7, wherein hystric acid weight concentration in said formulation is 55-65% of said at least one fatty acid weight concentration in said formulation.
9. The transparent soap formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein said at least one free fatty acid is present as sodium salts.
10. A method of preparing a transparent soap formulation as claimed in any of the claims 6-9.
