Trip Indicator

Abstract: The Fault Trip Indicator described herein is a pivotal innovation in the field of electrical circuits, specifically designed for use with circuit breakers safeguarding electrical lines. It addresses the critical need to monitor and count occurrences of fault trips, which are events where the circuit breaker opens due to heavy load conditions, thereby protecting electrical lines, distribution equipment, and connected loads. This indicator employs an auxiliary current transformer connected to the main current transformer, producing a current signal that accurately reflects the electrical line‘s current level. A threshold detector analyzes this signal, triggering a load signal when the current surpasses a predetermined threshold value. A monitoring circuit then detects when the circuit breaker opens during a fault trip, coinciding with the load signal. This ingenious system offers a cost-effective, compact, and durable solution for tracking fault trip events. Moreover, it includes a counter to tally the number of fault trips, providing valuable data for predictive maintenance on circuit breakers. This innovative approach simplifies maintenance procedures, minimizes downtime, and optimizes resource allocation in utility-scale electrical systems.

Specification

Preamble to the Description
THE FIELD OF INVENTION (Gardening)
é
The present invention relates to novel design Trip Indicator used in the field of Electrical Circuit.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A protective circuit assembly configured to detect a fault condition when the sensor output signal
substantially corresponds to at least one predetermined fault criterion and generate a trip actuation
signal in response thereto. The sensor assembly provides a sensor test output responsive to the test
current only if both the differential transformer and the grounded neutral transformer are operative.
The transformer's can be substantially circular in configuration, and more particularly, ring shaped. A
trip gauge may include indicators corresponding to the relative locations of the vehicle, the
destination. A fault protection circuit disposed inside the housing, having sensing components
mounted to one side ofa first PCB.
