Trustless Source Of Truth For Early Detection And Forensics Of Insider Fraud Related To Electronic Gift Vouchers

Abstract: ABSTRACT TRUSTLESS SOURCE OF TRUTH FOR EARLY DETECTION AND FORENSICS OF INSIDER FRAUD RELATED TO ELECTRONIC GIFT VOUCHERS A trustless e-commerce system for detecting fraudulent modifications comprises a trigger module, an immutable blockchain database, and an audit module. The triggering module receives and transmits a log of transactions that are executed in a product database to the audit module contained in a source of truth private network. The audit module performs an audit check on the log of transactions to identify one or more modified transactions from a user, wherein the audited log of transactions that include the modified transactions is transferred and stored in the immutable blockchain database. The audit module performs a comparison of regular audit trails in the product database with the modified transactions stored in the immutable blockchain database to detect malicious activities from the user who modified the transactions.
