Abstract: The Fixture has been designed to overcome the frequent puller lip failure of OEM suggested tool. This fixture is used to push the bearing and labyrinth seal out from turbine shaft in place of using puller lip tool to pull the seals. This fixture gives the benefit of repetitive use without any failure. This tool can be easily be mounted on the turbine rear side and by applying force on the tool bearing will be pushed out. This applies equal pressure on inner race thus prevents any localized damage to component.

The present invention relates to manufacturing, repair, overhaul of Gas Turbines.
3 Background of the Invention
Tool/fixture suggested by OEM for removal of the turbine front bearing and labyrinth seal is having frequent problem with failure of puller lips / damage of engine components during strip of the engine. This resulting in frequent repair of tools and replacement of damaged components. There was need for tool which can remove the items without damage.
4 Brief Summary of the Invention
The Fixture has been manufactured to overcome the frequent puller lip failure of OEM suggested tool. This fixture is used to push the bearing and labyrinth seal out from turbine shaft in place of using puller lip tool to pull the seals. This fixture gives the benefit of repetitive use without any failure.
This tool can be easily be mounted on the turbine rear side and by applying force on the tool bearing will be pushed out. This applies equal pressure on eight locations on real and inner race thus prevents any localized damage to components.

6 Detail Description of the Invention Construction:
support plate (1) is rigidly fixed (welded) with guide pins (2) to provide a rigid fixture to withstand the applied load during removal of the bearing race. This also provide equal distribution of the applied force on the periphery to prevent any local damage of engine components.
Function :
This tool can be easily be mounted on the turbine rear side and by applying force on the tool, bearing will be pushed out. This applies equal pressure on eight locations on real and inner race thus prevents any localized damage to components.
