PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner
in which it is to be performed.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention is related to suspension system of vehicle and more particular this invention is related to twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
A conventional twist beam comprises of two trailing arms connected by a cross member. Generally an additional hollow tubular element or a solid rod is incorporated inside the cross beam to increase the strength and stiffness of the structure. If the stiffness of the stabilizer bar is too high it produces high stress at the end mounting leading to the failure of end mounting. Since there is no flat surface available for welding at end mounting , the welding is not good due to non availability of flat surface, hence the failure of end mounting is inevitable. Another difficulty in welding the stabilizer to the trailing arm is the non accessibility of the weld torch at the joinery due to the profile of the trailing arm and the location of the said joinery on the trailing arm. The twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicles is developed which overcomes above stated disadvantages.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a method of mounting twist beam stabilizer bar.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle having good mounting surface for
2
the end mounting of the said stabilizer bar.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle having strength to the end mounting of the said stabilizer bar to withstand roll fatigue to which the twist beam is subjected.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle having good weld quality of end of mounting joinery of the said stabilizer bar and the trailing arm.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle having good accessibility for the weld torch to weld the end mounting of the said stabilizer bar.
Another object of the invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle which is better roll stiffness to the vehicle by providing suitable distance between the end mountings of the twist beam on both side of the vehicle.
Another object of the invention is to provide a twist beam stabilizer bar end mounting assembly for rear suspension of vehicle which reduces the weight of the trailing arm and thus reduction in twist beam weight.
