(100) respectively in accordance with the present invention. The unit (100) comprises a pair of water vessels (5), a pump (10), a hose reel drum compartment (15), a Flexible pipe arrangement (20) (not shown), and a water mist gun (25),
More specifically, the pair of water vessels (5) is attached to the rear part of the bike with a bolt arrangement. These are provided with filling hole connecting to the pump inlet. The capacity of these water vessels (5) is approx. 30 liters which can be decreased or increased according to the need.
The pump (10) arrangement is provided by extending chassis of the bike beside the engine to the left side of the bike to provide a stable base for its working.
Engine Pump Coupling:-
Bike engine is provided with a battery charging arrangement which is provided with coil and magnet cup. This magnet cup is connected to the crankshaft of the engine with a threaded bolt. By removing the said bolt (with internal threads) and replacing the same bolt by a shaft, the revolution and power of the crankshaft can be transmitted to the shaft (with internal threads). Also the engine cover is given a magnet cover which is generally given for servicing purpose; the shaft can easily come out of it. The shaft gives the same rotations and power as generated by the crankshaft of the engine. This output of the power through the shaft can be utilized to run the pump (10).
The pump (10) is a triplex plunger or a wobble plate axial pump which generates a high pressure while working with high rpm, This pump (10) also has the main rotating shaft which is modified and extended from one side to couple it with the engine's extended shaft. The coupling of the pump shaft and engine shaft is done by a PTO unit (power take off unit). The whole operation is done when the bike is in neutral gear and in stable position. The PTO unit is basically a self designed gearbox which couples two shafts (engine shaft and pump shaft) with the movement of the lever provided in it. PTO is provided with gears inside it designed in such a ratio to get maximum power and rpm required to run the pump (10) and generate desired pressure.
Further, the hose reel drum compartment (15) is provided at the rear side of the bike mounted on a frame between the pair of water vessels (5) and on the rear seat of the bike. It is provided with a pressure gauge. The hose reel drum can wind up hose up to 25 meters. This compartment (15) is arranged to keep a water mist gun (25) and different types of nozzles. This water mist gun can work with dual Operation i.e. the jet mode as well as spray mode. This compartment (15) also facilitates a first aid box fixed on the frame. Amber blinker light is provided on the same frame over a steel rod.
The Flexible pipe arrangement (20) is provided wherein, first arrangement is from the pair of water vessels (5) to the pump (10) wherein, a flexible pipe with a T-connector is provided for connecting both the vessels (5) to the pump (10), also a common valve present just before the pump inlet. A y-strainer is also given just before the inlet of the pump. The second arrangement is from the pump (10) to the hose reel drum compartment (15) at the water inlet (a swivel coupling). And finally, the third arrangement is from the hose reel drum compartment (15) to the water mist gun (25) with an instantaneous coupling. This hose from hose reel drum compartment (15) to the water mist gun (25) is 20m long and can be increased as per requirement by means of a connector.
The water mist gun (25) is provided on the either side of the hose reel drum compartment (15) having a locking arrangement for the hose reel. The water mist gun (25) produces very fine water sprays (i.e. water mist). The tiny water droplets allow the water mist to control, suppress or extinguish fires.
The foam tank (30) is provided between the pair of water vessels (5) and the hose reel drum compartment (15). The fire extinguisher (40) is provided on either of the water vessels (5). The GPS system (45) is provided on the head of the bike. The red/yellow/blue blinker light (50) is provided on the either side of the water vessels (5).
The technical scheme is as follows." Crankshaft of motorbike's engine is connected to the high pressure pump through a PTO; Engine crankshaft and
PTO are connected through the steel shaft, PTO and pump are also connected to a steel shaft, a winding disc is arranged on a supporting frame and the paw of water vessels (5) with a water outlet of the water vessels which is connected with a water inlet of the high-pressure water pump; a water outlet of the high-pressure water pump (10) is connected with a water inlet of a high-pressure hose of the winding disc by a high pressure wire braided hose pipe; a water outlet of the high-pressure hose of the winding disc is connected with a water inlet of a the high-pressure water mist gun (25) at the rear end of the two-wheel fire-fighting motorcycle body; support at the front part of the two-wheel fire-fighting motorcycle body is respectively provided with the high-pressure water pump (10).
In an operation, following steps are carried out;
Stage 1:- It is a two men operation.
While driving the bike, the pump shaft is disengaged by the PTO unit. The valve is shut off and the water is not entering into the pump (10). The bike can freely run in its natural condition.
Stage 2:-
This stage is carried out by 1st fireman.
After reaching the fire site, bike engine is switched off, then the PTO unit
engages engine shaft to the pump shaft with the movement of the lever. The
valve is opened for the intake of water into the pump (10) for its priming.
Stage 3:- After ensuring above two steps are followed successfully, then the bike is started with a self start switch and the pump shaft starts revolving.
Stage 4:- Stage 1, 2 and 3 are carried by 1st fireman, meanwhile the 2nd fireman carries the water mist gun (25) and attaches it with the outlet hose coupling before the water comes out of it.
Stage 5:- As soon as the water comes out of the water mist gun (25), 1st fireman increases the Tpm of the bike and sets it to the permissible limit so as to acquire desired torque and rpm to run the water pump (10) at its best condition which is done by accelerating by revolving the throttle valve of the carburetor.
