The present invention relates to the field of safety and security. More specifically the present
invention is directed towards security of cash present in the ATM.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Automated teller machines are electronic banking outlets that allow people to complete
transactions without going into a branch of their bank. Some are simple cash dispensers while
others allow a variety of transactions such as check deposits, balance transfers, and bill
payments.
Although the design of each ATM is different, they all contain the same basic parts:
 Card reader: This part reads the chip on the front of the card or the magnetic stripe
on the back of the card.
 Keypad: The keypad is used by the customer to input information, including personal
identification number (PIN), the type of transaction required, and the amount of the
transaction.
 Cash dispenser: Bills are dispensed through a slot in the machine, which is connected
to a safe at the bottom of the machine.
 Printer: If required, consumers can request receipts that are printed here. The receipt
records the type of transaction, the amount, and the account balance.
 Screen: The ATM issues prompts that guide the consumer through the process of
executing the transaction. Information is also transmitted on the screen, such as
account information and balances

 Cash box: All the cash of the ATM is present in the cash box with help of this cash
can be easily withdrawn from the ATM.

WE CLAIM:

1. A security system for security of the cash in the ATM, WHEREIN the same consists of:
- Plurality of stainless steel safe box;
- Plurality of safety wall on the cashbox consisting copper wires when circuit is
interrupted the security system will be activated;
- Motors, sensors, timers, which control operation of the doors of the safe box;
- All components works on DC supply,
and WHEREIN the same is fixed exactly under the ATM cashbox.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1 WHEREIN in normally OFF condition:
- A circuit of copper wires is made on the surface of the cashbox and used as a
switching element;
- Safe box is placed under the cash box ;
- All the motors, sensors, timers are connected through the circuit these components
will stay in OFF condition until safety wall is not interrupted;
- All components are supplied with DC supply.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1 WHEREIN the mechanism of use consists of following
steps:
- As when anyone breaks the safety wall of the cashbox , the circuit is interrupted;
- The security system will be activated and doors will be opened to transfer cash from
cashbox to safe box;
- When cash hits the bottom of the safe box then doors will be closed automatically to
save cash.
