Abstract: A processor (500), upon receiving execution data, causes an execution program to proceed on the basis of the execution data. The processor (500), upon receiving update data, writes the update data to a memory (502) and causes an update of an update program to proceed. If a programmable device (50) is reset after completion of the update of the update program, the processor (500) terminates the execution program and launches the update program as the execution program.
