Abstract: Need of berth occupant relaxing has been the requirement in the trucking operation, however it could be provided in Sleeper type of Cabins. This feature could not be packaged satisfactorily for Day a cabin which is used for short distance operations like mining & construction. The new concept has now been derived, providing Berth even for Day type Truck cabins, without any application compromise. In the said invention, Sleeper berth has been parked in the compact space, between occupant seats and the cabin rear wall, while vehicle is in operation. This location has been derived, without hampering rear visibility even through internal rear views mirror and through rear wall glass/ window opening. (Refer Fig-1). When vehicle not in operation, the Driver & co-passengers seats backs are folded down, the berth is unlocked from both the ends, lifted up, rotated and tilted forward horizontal in the sleeping position. Both the ends then supported and locked over the brackets, which have been mounted on the cabin body side walls.

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the nature of invention.
FIELD OF INVENTION:
The invention relates to Location of Sleeper Berth Parking position, for Day type trucks Cabin. It also generally describe concept of Berth folding and unfolding arrangement.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
Trucks Cabins are generally classified in Day type & Sleeper type. Preference of type of Cabin is done based on truck usage & application.
Sleeper berth is highly desirable since the trucks are being contracted for continuous operations.
Sleeper cabins are longer for accommodating Sleeper Berth/s.
Sleeper Cabins have been preferred for Long distance, highway application mainly for Haulage Trucks and Tractor Trailer applications. In such applications Sleeper Berth/s has been necessity, for occupants to either taking rest or carrying additional seating passengers.
Day type cabins are much shorter length, as compared to sleeper type of Cabins, giving more loading length. Vehicles with such cabins are preferred for short distance operations like mining, cross country, construction, intercity application etc. With limitation of space, the sleeper berth could not be packaged, which has been preference by Driver or Co-occupant, to enable relaxing, whenever the vehicle is parked.
This Unique installation of the Berth design has been invented, to provide a sleeper berth in Day Cabin. The Berth when folded and parked in a compact location, within limited narrow gap available between seat back & Rear wall.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
To provide new concept mechanism of Sleeper Folding Berth, for Day type Truck Cabin, without obstructing Drivers Rear Visibility, through Internal Rear View Mirror & Rear wall glass, and not interfering for movements and most hidden behind the seats.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS:
Figure 1- Sleeper Berth in the parked & locked condition (during vehicle in operation).
Figure 2 - Berth in occupant sleeping application, when lift up, unfolded & locked (when vehicle is parked).
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION:
Referring to Figure 1 the folding sleeper berth comprises sleeper berth (1), pivot & slide mechanism (2), locking arrangement (3), handles (4) and support bracket (5) mounted on Body in white.
The sliding & Pivot mechanism enables vertical and rotation movement to the sleeper berth during folding and unfolding.
While vehicle is being driven, the sleeper berth kept vertically in the parked position (folded position) behind the seats and locked in place with the help of lock mechanism (4) such that the visibility through rear window is not impacted. In folded position of sleeper berth driver can get full rear view visibility through internal rear view mirror.
When the vehicle is at rest or parked, back rest of both driver and co-driver seats to be folded forward as shown in fig2. The locks on both sides to be released to use the sleeper berth. Then the berth can be lifted-up by the Handles (4) provided in the sleeper berth (1). Smooth upward movement for the sleeper berth is facilitated by the sliding mechanism (2). Then Sleeper Berth can be rotated to
unfolded position once it is lifted to the required height. The support bracket provides flat surface and support on which the sleeper berth (1) rests horizontally. With help of lock mechanism berth can be locked in unfolded position.
BERTH IN OCCUPANT SLEEPING APPLICATION, WHEN LIFT UP, UNFOLDED & LOCKED (WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED).
We Claim the following:
1. Folding berth arrangement for Day type of Truck Cabin comprises of sleeper berth (1), pivot & slide mechanism (2), locking arrangement (3), handles (4) and support bracket (5) mounted on Body side wall.
2. The Sleeper Berth has a Parking position between seats and Cabin rear wall as shown in fig -1. It also has provision for locking (3) in this position.
3. The Folded position of the berth in Claim-2 is for the driving condition of the vehicle. The position doesn't impact rear visibility through the rear view mirror fitted inside the cab
4. The Sleeper Berth has a unfolded position for sleeping/rest when vehicle not in use as shown in figure -2
5. The Unfolded position of the berth is achieved by folding the using slide and pivot mechanism.
6. The slide and pivot mechanism provides vertical lift as well as forward rotational movement to the Sleeper berth during folding and unfolding of sleeper berth
7. For the unfolded position of berth in claim-4 both side locks to be released, back rest of the seats to be folded and berth can be lifted vertically with the help of handle (4).
8. After rotation, the berth rest horizontally over the Berth support bracket (5) which is mounted on the Cab body side wall, where is locked.
