Abstract: The invention relates to a unit for making chapattis or tortillas, the unit comprises of roller pin, lid, polpat and base pan. The object of invention is to keep the unit dust free and secured from insects. The dimensions of different assortments are so made that they fix in each other properly and form a unit while not in use. As a unit the polpat is secured inside the pan, the lid is fixed over it and roller pin is placed in the trough made in lid.
The invention relates to the unit for making of chapattis and tortillas .
Background of invention
As, it is human tendency to stay in airy houses, because of this the utensil
catch the dust moreover the insects also make the utensil dirty; in such
conditions we need to rewash and clean the utensils whenever we need
them.
In a household whenever we go for chapatti or tortilla making we need rolling
pin and flat circular rolling board. The rolling pin is used in combination with a
polpat (a flat circular platform), the dough for chapattis is rolled on the polpat
(a flat circular platform ) with the help of rolling pin.
In the fast moving life, this is the need of the time that efforts should be
appreciated and invention should be done for saving the time and efforts.
The present invention relates to a system which saves the utensils involved
in chapatti making from dust and insects.
However the devices such as tortilla maker or chapatti makers are available
in the market but generally in South Asia, the rolling pin is used in
combination with polpat (a flat circular platform) for chapatti making.
The search was conducted in patent databases, but documents could not be
found to be regarded as prior art of the invention.
Brief Description of Invention:
The invention relates to a unit for making chapattis or tortillas, the unit
comprises of roller pin, lid, polpat and base pan. The object of invention is to
keep the unit dust free and secured from insects. The dimensions of different
assortments are so made that they fix in each other properly and form a unit
while not in use. As a unit the polpat is secured inside the pan, the lid is fixed
over it and roller pin is placed in the trough made in lid.
Description of Drawings:
Figure 1, shows when the roller pin rests in the trough on the lid
Figure 2 shows, when the lid covers both the Pan and the polpat,
Figure 3 shows when the pan works as the base container that holds all the
other assortments.
Figure 4 shows the different views of lid with trough.
Figure 5 shows the polpat.
Figure 6 shows the pan.
Description based on Drawings:
A rolling pin is a cylindrical food preparation utensil used to shape and flatten
dough to make chapattis or tortillas. Generally, the pan for keeping dry flour
while rolling chapattis, roller pin and polpat, are kept separately and not as
unit. Because of this sometimes, the user has to search the three utensils
when he or she is going to make chapattis, this cause waste of time.
Moreover the pan and polpat are required to be washed again as they may
come in contact of dust or insects such as cockroaches. So the invention is
an effort to make the cooking clean, hassle free and time saving.
The invention has got a unit for dust free and clean cooking of chapattis
which comprises of a roller pin (1), a Lid (2), a Polpat (3) and a Pan (4) for
keeping dry flour.
The shape of pan, lid and polpat is circular in the embodiment explained
further, however they may be made of any geometric shape such as square,
triangular or rectangle etc.
While not in use, the unit is kept together, the pan (4) works as base
container to hold all other assortments. The top face (5) of polpat is having
of slight bigger diameter than that of lower portion (6) of Polpat, so that it
holds the polpat against the brim (7) of pan. The lid (2) is having slight bigger
diameter than polpat so that it covers the polpat, but rests on the brim (7) of
pan. The lid (2) is having a trough (9), where the diameter of trough and the
roller pin (1) is same, so that trough holds the roller pin properly while not in
use. The height (8) of lid (2) is more than or equal to the radius of roller pin
(1), so that trough can be given the proper depth to hold the roller pin.
While using, first of all, the roller pin (1) is pulled out from the trough (9) of lid
(2), then the lid 2 is pulled up to uncover the polpat (3) and kept aside. After
4
this, dust free polpat (3) is pulled out; now the pan (4) can be used for
keeping dry flour while making chapatti. All the assortments of unit are free
now and can be used.
After the dough has been given required shape, all the assortments (roller
pins, lid, polpat and base) should be cleaned, then pan (4) is kept on the flat
base, in this polpat (3) is inserted, over this lid (2) is placed and the roller pin
(1) is fixed in trough (9).
In the foregoing specification, the invention has been described with
reference to specific embodiments thereof. It will, however, be evident that
various modifications and changes may be made thereto without departing
from the broader spirit and scope of the invention. The specification and
drawings are, accordingly, to be regarded in an illustrative rather than a
restrictive sense.
