Upgrading Of Application Processors

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a method for upgrading an application software on a plurality of application processors in a communication network (104), while maintaining data synchronization. The method includes upgrading an application software on an application processor group (110), selected from a plurality of application processor groups (110, 112). Further, it is determined whether at least one data region on the upgraded application processor group (110) has been modified in response to the upgrading. The method further includes preserving session data from a data region on the another application processor group (112), corresponding to the modified data region on the upgraded application processor group (110), onto a temporary memory space within the upgraded application processor group (110). Further, the session data is copied from the temporary memory space onto a pre-defined memory space allocated to the modified data region within the upgraded application processor group (110).
