THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES AND ASCERTAINS THE NATURE OF THIS INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED

FIELD OF INVENTION:-
Invention relates to an utility box inside the body structure of a vehicle. More particularly providing a storage space in side the vehicle behind rear door.
BACK GROUND OF INVENTION:-
To accommodate any kind of utilities and tools like Tool Kit, Toe Hook, Wheel Spanner, Halogen Bulb Box, First Aid Kit Pouch etc. in the cabin space of vehicle used. The idea is to have utility box in passenger compartment/cabin accessible to the user / vehicle owner without going inside the vehicle. This will make inside space free for passenger comport.
OBJECT OF INVENTION:-
It is an object of invention to provide an utility box in a vehicle behind the rear door for easy access of any kind of utilities and tools. It is another object of invention to provide an utility box in a vehicle behind the rear door for safe storage, free from theft, of any kind of utilities and tools. It is another object of invention to provide an utility box in a vehicle behind the rear door for easy storage of any kind of utilities and toofs there by free space inside vehicle compartment..
STATEMENT OF INVENTION:-
Accordingly invention provides an utility box inside the body structure of a vehicle packaged behind the Rear Door inside Body Side Outer, at RHS and/or LHS, comprises an Utility Box Panel having front side and rear side; the said front end rigidly fixed to the said Body Side Outer from inside; the said rear side of utility box panel rigidly fixed with C Pillar Reinforcement with Seat Belt Anchorage Reinforcement sandwiched; extension of said C pillar rigidly fixed to C pillar panel; the front side of the said utility box accessible through an opening in the said body side outer; an utility box lid cover provided to the said opening with locking means.

Figure 1 shows exploded view of the utility box inside the vehicle body structure in accordance with the present invention.
Figure 2 shows toot kit inside the Foam in Utility Box as explained in figure 1.
Figure 3 shows the location of the utility box inside the vehicle body structure as explained in figure 1.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION: -
A sheet metal or plastic (any) utility box part of the passenger compartment / cabin behind the door helps to accommodate any kind of utilities and tools like Tool Kit, Toe Hook, Wheel Spanner, Halogen Bulb Box, First Aid Kit Pouch etc. The idea is to have a utility box in the passenger compartment / cabin accessible to the user / vehicle owner without going inside the vehicle.
As far as location and access to the utility box is concerned, the Utility Box is not visible from outside of the vehicle, since it is packaged behind the Rear Door inside Body Side Outer. It is accessible only when Rear Door is opened. Then the plastic ltd has to be removed by loosening the knobs thus making access for the Utility Box. Then the user can remove the foam (in which Toolkit is packaged) outside of the Utility Box. The Door Sealing is covering the Plastic Lid, thus there is no separate Lock and Latch for the lid. The Sealing prevents water entry. There is no threat for theft since the box is accessible only when Rear Door is opened.
Referring to figure 1, An utility box inside the body structure of a vehicle packaged behind the Rear Door inside Body Side Outer 3, at RHS and/or LHS. The said utility box comprises an Utility Box Panel 4 having front side

and rear side. The said front end rigidly fixed to the said Body Side Outer 3 from inside. The said rear side of utility box panel rigidly fixed with C Pillar Reinforcement 6 with Seat Belt Anchorage Reinforcement 5 sandwiched. The extension of said C pillar 7 rigidly fixed to C pillar panel 8. The front side of the said utility box accessible through an opening in the said body side outer. An utility box lid 1 cover provided to the said opening locking means. The utility panel 4 is made of sheet metal or plastic sheet. The said lid 1 is locked by hand knobs on the body side outer. The lid 1 is also provided with snaps with corresponding notches for location on body side outer. The method of rigidly fixing the said utility box panel made of sheet metal to body side outer and C-pillar reinforcement is by spot welding and also welding of C-pillar extension to C-pillar panel by welding. The fasteners or riveting is also used for rigidly fixing instead of welding. The utility box panel made of plastic material rigidly fixing is done fasteners or riveting or adhesive application
As far as body in white (BIW) joinery is concerned, the Utility Box Panel is spot welded with Body Side Outer from inside. It is also welded with C Pillar Reinforcement and Seat Belt Anchorage Reinforcement. Utility Box is designed a structural member taking load of Seat Belt Anchorage for 2nd row. Seat Belt Anchorage Reinforcement is welded with Utility Box for this reason. Utility Box is also welded with C Pillar Reinforcement thus improving the Torsional Stiffness of BIW
Removable Plastic Lid is mounted on the Body Side Outer with hand knobs. The lid can be removed only after loosening the knobs. The Lid is also having the snaps with corresponding notches for location on the Body Side Outer. Surface area of Utility Box is 0.235 m2. Foam 2 is packaged inside the Utility Box. The foam 2 will have depressions for Tool Kit. The customer can remove the foam outside of the Utility Box.
To make the access convenient to the customer just after opening the door, additional utility space is given in passenger compartment/cabin, which can be used to store any utilities like Tool Kit, Halogen Bulb Box, First Aid Kit
