Abstract: • V-ATM is a feature in the present infrastructure system of ATM setup to encourage the cashless initiative of Indian Government. • V-ATM functions in a similar manner to a traditional ATM however the transaction is completely electronic and a transaction code is provided instead of cash confirming that cash has been debited from the consumer’s bank account. • This Transaction code along with the OTP can be used by any Vendor who has Kaash Vendor App installed and payment will be done automatically from the user bank account to the vendor. • In the absence of Kaash Vender App Vender may have some other app such as BHIM , KAASH , MPIN , AADHAR PAY to do transaction from customer’s account to the vender’s account . This is fully encrypted from both sides. • This system of transactions would be highly secured as it involves - no cash system - no need to carry debit /credit or other card system - no risk of theft from ATM system. • The cost of maintaining V-ATM is 90 to 95% lower than current ATM systems as various types of faults has been removed in this new system. • The V-ATM’s malfunctioning would be very rare because the requirement of V-ATM in comparison to present ATM systems is very less . • Through this we can use ATM systems in improving cashless economy in our country. • It will help in improving position of India in G20 conference.
