Vacuum Infusion Method And System For Producing Molded Article
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vacuum infusion method for producing molded article and a system employed in the method of producing a molded article. The method is characterized in that it involves a flexible counter mold which facilitates uniform resin infusion throughout the part to be molded. The present disclosure provides a molded part obtained by the vacuum infusion process of the invention which has smooth finish on both the sides of the product thereby reducing the step of further processing of the product after the product is removed from the mold or the infusion chamber. The molded articles obtained by the process of the present disclosure exhibits excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, compressive strength and compressive modulus.
