Vehicle Battery Connector

Abstract: ABSTRACT VEHICLE BATTERY CONNECTOR The disclosed technology pertains to a connector assembly (310) for facilitating power transfer between a battery (202) and a vehicle chassis (204). The connector assembly (310) includes a vehicle connector (100A) 5 and a battery connector (100B). The vehicle connector (100A) comprises a battery connecting end (102) with a first vehicle conducting element (104) at the center and multiple second vehicle conducting elements (106) positioned equidistantly around the first vehicle conducting element (104). The battery connector (100B) includes a second connecting end (110) 10 designed to interface with the vehicle connector (100A). The second connecting end (110) comprises a first battery conducting element (112) at the center and a second battery conducting element (114) adjacent to the first battery conducting element (112). The arrangement of these conducting elements allows for a secure and multidirectional electrical 15 connection between the battery (202) and the vehicle (204). <> 22

a plurality of second vehicle conducting elements (106)
positioned equidistantly around the first vehicle conducting element
10 (104) with a pre-defined distance between the first vehicle conducting
element (104) and each of the second vehicle conducting elements
(106).
2. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein electrical
coupling of the vehicle connector (100A) with the battery connector (100B)
15 allows conduction of electrical energy between a battery (202) and the
vehicle.
3. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
battery connector (100B) comprises:
a first connecting end (304) to be electrically connected with a battery
20 (202) and a second connecting end (110) to be electrically connected with
the battery connecting end (102) of the vehicle connector (100A), wherein
the second connecting end (110) comprises:
a first battery conducting element (112) positioned at a center
of the second connecting end (110); and
25 a second battery conducting element (114) positioned
adjacent to the first battery conducting element (112) on the second
connecting end (110) with the pre-defined distance being the
distance between the first battery conducting element (112) and the
second battery conducting element (114).
17
4. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
vehicle conducting elements (104, 106) and the battery connecting
elements (112, 114) are one of a male connector, a female connector, and
combination thereof which are extending away from the corresponding
5 connector end.
5. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 4, wherein when the
first vehicle conducting element (104) is one of the male connector and the
female connector, the corresponding first battery conducting element (112)
is one of the female connector and the male connector, respectively.
10 6. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 4, wherein when the
second vehicle conducting elements (106) are one of the male connector
and the female connector, the corresponding second battery conducting
element (114) is one of the female connector and the male connector,
respectively.
15 7. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
vehicle connector further comprises a vehicle enclosure wall (108)
surrounding the vehicle conducting elements (104, 106) which is to receive
a corresponding battery enclosure wall (116) surrounding the battery
conducting elements (112, 114).
20 8. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein when the
vehicle conducting element is female connector, a plastic covering (118)
extends along the surface of the vehicle conducting element from the
corresponding end of the connector.
9. The vehicle connector (100A) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
25 vehicle connector (100A) comprises a pair of vehicle terminals (306)
extending longitudinally away from the vehicle connecting end (302) to be
