Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
The present subject matter relates to a scooter type vehicle. More particularly, the present subject matter relates to a vehicle body cover for the scooter- type vehicle.
BACKGROUND
In order to make motorcycles lighter in weight and appealing to diverse groups, small models of motorized cycle designs have been developed. Generally, such vehicles include a small engine block coupled with other components and suspended on a body frame just in front of and surrounding a rear wheel. Such motorized cycles, often referred to as a scooter-type vehicle, may include a vehicle body cover which surrounds the engine to improve the outer appearance of the vehicle and protect the component elements of the vehicle.
Conventionally, the scooter-type vehicle for carrying two persons comprises a storage box disposed underneath a seat for storing articles therein. Such scooter type vehicle includes a storage member having an opening in a rear covering member of a front body cover of a vehicle body cover and at a position facing an occupant. Thus, in a known scooter type vehicle, the limited provision of storage space located in the storage box below the seat and in the storage member connected to the rear covering member of the vehicle makes it difficult to store certain articles on the vehicle.
Furthermore, the existing storage box disposed underneath the seat is circular in design and hence do not allow for large article having a cylindrical like structure to be stored into the article storage box. Thus, majority of riders of the scooter-type vehicle place the large article having said cylindrical like structure on a floorboard of the scooter-type vehicle. However, accommodating the large article having said cylindrical like structure on the floorboard is difficult and hence creates an unsafe riding experience.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[00014] Conventionally, a scooter-type vehicle includes a front body portion
and a rear body portion, a floorboard provided between said front body portion and said rear body portion, a seat provided at the rear body portion of said vehicle, a storage box positioned below said seat and a body cover extending from the front body portion to the rear body portion along a vehicle longitudinal axis. The body cover for the scooter-type vehicle comprises a front body cover disposed in the front body portion of the vehicle and a rear body cover disposed in the rear body portion of the vehicle. The front body cover comprises a front covering member and a rear covering member located rearwardly of the front covering member and the rear body cover comprises a pair of laterally spaced side covers and the under seat cover enclosing an article storage box.
[00015] Generally, the article storage box provided under the seat of the
scooter-type vehicle is used for storing a helmet or the like. Also, in a known scooter-type vehicle, a storage member is connected to the rear covering member in the form of glove box for storing small and easily accessible articles.
[00016] However, with the limited provision of storage space in the storage
box below the seat and in the storage member connected to the rear covering member of the vehicle, it becomes difficult to store a large article having a cylindrical like structure therein. Moreover, the storage space and features of the scooter-type vehicle is fixed during the design and the assembly process for the vehicle. And thus, there remains limited possibility of any further modification in the design of the vehicle so as to increase more storage space for accommodating the large article having said cylindrical like structure on the vehicle. Hence, the storage space tends to be quite limited in the scooter-type vehicle and not useful for certain articles which are most likely desired to be stored. Thus, with the storage space restrictions, the rider of the vehicle stores the large article having said cylindrical like structure on the floorboard. However, with the limited space on floorboard, the storage of the large article having the cylindrical like structure becomes difficult and gives uncomfort and unsafe riding experience.

[00017] Hence, it is desirable to modify the structure of the rear covering
member of the scooter-type vehicle so as to accommodate and store large articles having the cylindrical like structure by effectively utilizing the space on the floorboard of the vehicle and simultaneously to provide a better and improved riding experience for the rider of the vehicle
[00018] With the above objectives in view, the present invention relates to a
