Abstract: A vehicle diagnostic device for an electric vehicle, according to an aspect of the present invention, comprises: a connector configured to be detachable to a D-CAN channel provided in a vehicle network system of the electric vehicle; a CAN transceiver connected through the connector to a first signal line and a second signal line of the D-CAN channel; a wake-up circuit connected through the connector to the first signal line or the second signal line; and a control circuit configured to, in response to input of a first wake-up signal output by the CAN transceiver or a second wake-up signal output by the wake-up circuit in a sleep mode, switch the sleep mode to a wake-up mode and collect diagnostic data from the vehicle network system through the CAN transceiver in the wake-up mode.
