Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to a vehicle information display unit for a motorized vehicle and more particularly to a digital vehicle information unit for the motorized vehicle. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In existing vehicles, multiple types of digital and analog vehicle information display unit is being used. Digital display units in these vehicles are capable to display multiple information at one time or different mode specific information. Display location of these information are fixed over the display screen as well as information for a specific mode cannot be seen simultaneously with another mode e.g. racing mode information cannot be visible during normal drive mode information.
Thus, rider has to concentrate on the display unit in accordance to the information display unit as the display location is fixed and cannot be arranged as per rider comfort. Further, if rider wants to access information from different mode, person has to change present mode to required mode and vice versa. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Main objective of present invention is to provide a digital display unit on to that every information icon can be displayed on the screen simultaneously as well as only required or chosen information is displayed. Further, displayed information icons can be shifted to any of the pre-specified locations on the display screen as per the preference of the rider. Another objective of the
described invention is to provide the procedure to operate or enable the described invention.
Summary provided above explains the basic features of the invention and does not limit the scope of the invention. Additional detailed information related to the enablement of the invention will be provided in the detailed description and accompanying claims. Scope of the invention shall be based on the claims provided. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing(s). Provided drawings are incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention and illustrates several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention. Drawings given below are provided to support the description of the invention and are not limiting the scope of the present invention. A brief description of the drawing is as follows:
Figure 1 depicts exemplary embodiments of the claimed invention.
Figure 2 shows display arrangement of an embodiment of the claimed invention.
Figure 3 describes the enabling mechanism of an embodiment of the claimed invention.
Figure 4 depicts best mode enabling procedure for the claimed invention.
Figure 5 and Figure 6 show another embodiment and enabling arrangement of the claimed invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that best enabling arrangements of the invention can be explained through all possible embodiments and examples of it. The invention may have application to all kind of two wheeled vehicles.
Referring to Figure 1 and Figure 2 different embodiments of the invention and the procedure of the enablement of the invention is provided. Described vehicle information system has a vehicle information display unit 100 that further has a display area 102 over which functions like RPM, battery level, left and right turn signals, fuel level, low beam indicator, ABS indicator, oil level, engine mileage and speed can be displayed simultaneously.
This display area 102 has different display grid 101 in which different information parameters (according to the vehicle requirement) can be displayed. This grid 101 had different display clusters 101a, 101b in which the information parameters can be reassembled.
Said vehicle information display unit 100 further has two manual control units 103,104 provided in the vicinity of the display area 102. Information parameters like battery level, fuel level, turn signal indicators and speed of the vehicle will be available in ignition ON condition.
Said information display system has an information display mode and an information change mode simultaneously. Said information display mode classifies display of required information that can be decided and rearranged by the information changing mode. In this said manual control units 103, 104 are operated separately, for information display mode and operated together for the information change mode.
Mentioned manual controls 103,104 define a primary control unit 104 or mode unit and a secondary control unit 103 or set unit. The primary control unit 104 controls the information parameter to be displayed on the display grid 101 and the secondary control unit 103 controls initial (value) setting of information parameter to be displayed on the display grid 101. When operated together primary 104 and secondary 103 control units facilitate change of display location of the information parameter.
Referring to Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 5 and Figure 6, operating method for the information display system is explained. To operate this system, primary control unit 104 is pressed to select the information parameter on the display grid 102. Primary control unit 104 is pressed and a list of different information parameter icons will be visible on the display grid 102. By pressing primary control unit 104 for required number of times, parameter icon can be selected. Further, the secondary control unit 103 is pressed to set the initial value for selected information parameter and to display it in display grid 101,101a, 101b.
For example, as shown in Figure 3, if light indicator is to be selected then primary control 104 is to be pressed four times and then by secondary control unit
103, it can be selected and displayed in the display grid 101. If on selection and display of an information parameter, it is to be removed that secondary control unit 103 can be pressed again and it will disappear during information display mode.
As shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6, by pressing primary 104 and secondary 103 control units, information changing mode is activated and two different icons, a hand symbol 101c and a recycle symbol lOld are displayed on the display area 102. If the location of any particular parameter icon is to be changed then display grid 101 can be rearranged in said information changing mode.
As shown in Figure 6, when the information display unit 100 is changed to information change mode, particular parameter icon, that is to be relocated can be pressed and moved to another suitable location. As the icon to be changed is pressed, best possible locations for that icon will be indicated in the grid 101, and the user can select the new location out of the given options and relocate the chosen icon.
In case the selected parameter icon is to be removed then it can be pressed and moved to the recycle symbol lOld and it will disappear from the display area 102. In this rearrangement, orientation of the display grid 101 can be changed in the display area 102 i.e. from horizontal to vertical orientation display as per the requirement of the rider. After finalizing new locations of the information icons, information display unit 100 can be resumed to information display mode by pressing primary 104 and secondary 103 control unit together.
