THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED

FIELD OF THE 1NVENTION:-
Present invention pertains to automobile vehicles which need to be lifted by helicopters or to be dropped from parachute. The main aim of the present invention is to provide a vehicle lifting device which can be used as an accessory for parachute drop.
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:-
Automotive vehicles which are to be air-lifted by helicopters or to be dropped by a parachute are generally provided with heli-hooks, brackets or linkages which are attached to chassis/ frame or body superstructure. A variety of vehicle lifting adapters are available in public domain.
Patent application No. US 2007/0020077 discloses vehicle lifting adapter wherein at least one wheel of a vehicle is raised off of or above the ground. The adapter body is configured to be secured to a hub of a vehicle at a position external to a wheel mounted on the hub and that is to be raised above the ground. The adapter body includes a hub connection portion that is configured to be secured on the threaded lug extensions protruding beyond wheel securing lug nuts of the wheel of a vehicle.
In this prior art, the vehicle lifting adapter is bolted to wheel hub. The main disadvantage of this is that the entire vehicle load is transferred to the bolts while lifting the vehicle which in turn can fail in shear. Also this prior art require modification in superstructure of the vehicle.
Patent No. US 2296507 describes vehicle lifting device which engages the vehicle only upon the outer surface of the tires, thereby avoiding all possibility of marring the enamel, and further to provide a device of this character which may be readily and quickly applied and removed and which is readily and quickly adjusted to wheels and tires of various sizes.

In this prior art, the vehicle is lifted by side supported two bars attached to arms which hold the tyres. The main disadvantages of the same are that the vehicle balance is not supported and it does not take into consideration the hub support for vehicle lifting. Also there are chances of tire slippage from the arms during lifting of the vehicles.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:-
The main object of the present invention is to provide robust and sturdy vehicle lifting device.
Another object of the present invention is to provide vehicle lifting device with locking arrangement that prevent it from dislocating from its place during the operation.
Another object of the present invention is to provide vehicle lifting device that uniformly distribute the vehicle load on wheel hub and tyres during lifting operation.
Another object of the present invention is to provide vehicle lifting device that can be used for different tyre sizes.
Still further object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks in prior art devices / adapters for vehicle lifting.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION:-
Accordingly invention provides a Vehicle lifting device comprises of hub holding flat bracket having an opening with cylindrical hub housing at one end and a hole for fixing rope at other end; a pair of flat strips, having at least one threaded hole therein, symmetrically formed/attached radially to the said hosing at equal -angle from the line passing through centre of the said housing and other end hole; said strips screwed with a tyre support arm of curved profile, to accommodate the tyre of the vehicle, having vertical portion

and horizontal portion with bent at end; the said other end bracket provided with curved profile so as to make the said hole to align with the plane passing through the front face of the said housing.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES:-
Figure 1 shows vehicle lifting device of the present invention.
Figure 2 shows the method of assembling the vehicle lifting device on the hub of a vehicle.
Figure 3 shows vehicle lifting device of the present invention assembled on the vehicle hub.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:-
The vehicle lifting device of the present invention is mounted on the wheel hub of the vehicle. In accordance with the present invention, the vehicle lifting device (1) comprises of hub holding bracket (2) and tyre support arms (3). The tyre support arms (3) are attached to the hub holding bracket (2) with the help of bolts (4) or any other suitable means. The hub holding bracket (2) comprises of hub housing (6), at least a rib (7) and hole / opening (8). The hub housing (6) is cylindrical in shape and is of the size of the hub (5) of the vehicle. A rib (7) is provided to strengthen the hub holding bracket (2) during the lifting operation. Hole / opening (8) is provided to tie the metal rope / chain (not shown in figure) with the hub holding bracket (2). The hub holding bracket (2) is provided with a curved profile (9) which enables the top end of the hub holding bracket (2) to come out of the vehicle body thereby avoiding the scratches / damage on the vehicle body during the lifting operation. A rib (7) is placed on the optimized location on the hub holding bracket (2) between the curved profile (9) and hub housing (6) thereby imparting maximum strength and support during lifting operation of the vehicle. The hub holding bracket (2) is made of Fe410 material. However, it can be made of any suitable material fulfilling the engineering requirements.

A pair of strips, having at least one threaded hole therein, symmetrically formed/attached radially to the said hosing at equal -angle from the line passing through centre of the said housing and other end hole. The angle between the said pair of strips varies from 55° to 75 °.
Tyre support arms (3) are having curved profile to accommodate the tyre (11) of the vehicle. The horizontal portions (12) and vertical portions (13) of the tyre support arm (3) are adjustable to accommodate the tyre of different sizes and width. These portions of the tyre support arms are provided with suitable sliding type system (not shown in figure) to adjust the length and width of these arms according to the sizes of the tyres. The tyre support arms are also made of Fe410 material. However, it can be made of fiber reinforced plastic or any other suitable metal or combination of thereof fulfilling the engineering requirements.
Referring figure 2 when the vehicle is to be air-lifted, the hub holding bracket
(2) is slid over the wheel hub (5). It is then assembled with tyre support arms
(3) with the help of bolts or any other suitable means to form the assembly. As the tyre support arms (3) are rigidly fixed to the hub holding bracket (2), it does not permit the tyre (11) to slip out of it. Because of this rigid fixing, the assembly does not slip out over the vehicle hub (5). Thus, it prevents the hub housing bracket getting dislocated from its place during vehicle lifting operation. The flat bracket 6 is having lobe shape or rectangular shape any geometrical shape.
The lifting device bracket with integrally formed strips to the housing made by casting. Also the lifting device bracket with attached strips to the housing made by fabrication.
The technical advantages of the present invention are:
- It provides the robust and sturdy vehicle lifting device.
- The vehicle lifting device is very easy to assemble and disassemble during the operation.

- It is very easy to manufacture and cost effective.
- It imparts the locking mechanism to prevent the vehicle lifting device from dislocating from its place.
- Since the device provides 3-point contact with the vehicle during operation, uniform distribution of vehicle load is achieved over the wheel hub and tyres.
- It also provides the vehicle balancing during the operation thus avoiding any risk of accident.
- The major technical advantage of the present invention is that it does not require any modification in the vehicle architecture for its use. It is a add-on accessory with the vehicle which can be assembled on the vehicle hub as and when required.
