Abstract: In this project, wc conceptualized a solution that addresses two major problems in vehicular traffics. That is, when the vehicle is in ideal state* there is more consumption of fuel and few accidents happen in traffic signals due to signal violations. We can solve these problems by implementing VCU and SCU, i.e. sending commands from a transmitter which is received by a receiver in/each vehicle that in turn halt the vehicle automatically through TOT.,This system is internet controlled through Wi-Fi. In addition to this, this system detects whether the"driver consumed alcohol or if the vehicle"s C02 emission is above the rated level by using sensors, and it pings the data to the control room. Hence traffic police can track the vehicle owner, who violated the rales in no time. The main advantage of the system is that it can be improvised further to a greater extent, in that we can monitor nearby signals in our gadgets that suggest us to choose alternate path or calculate the rime of our appearance in that signal and can estimate the signal condition remotely.
4. DESCRIPTION
FIELD OF INVENTION: SMART CITY (EMBEDDED SYSTEM)
This invention provides smart traffic management system for efficient fuel consumption.
The traffic controlling and signal management system-is a smart technology that can reduce the modern day traffic and vehicle related issues such as traffic rules violation, fuel consumption,, vehicle performance monitoring and vehicle security. The project deals with eliminating above mentioned issues in order to facilitate the transportation and vehicular flow to ensure road safety. The urban cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai are traffic congested and the traffic violation is very high and there is less probability of road safety in traffic signals. In order to minimize these types of issues the concept of smart traffic signal management and vehicle controlling system has to be implemented.' The rea! time issues are noticed in Sadashivanagar(Bengaluru). It is a well-established posh residential neighborhood of Bangalore, the well-developed area with lot of tech parks. The data's which is taken on recent survey in mainly concentrated areas such as bhashyam-cauvery east and west bound in which the existing peak hour volume ranges between 2000-2500 vehicles/hour. To manage this flow and to control the traffic rules violation the idea of smart traffic signal management and vehicle controlling system is going to be implemented. If the vehicle enters the project surveillance region the vehicle comes under the control of smart traffic management system and vehicle will be automatically switched off."During this period the vehicle will be completely controlled by VCU and SCU. This system consists of a single transmitter that transmits signals in required direction and this transmitted signal was received by a receiver which is placed in the vehicle and this controlsthe engine. In the meantime the datalike over speed,, overload, Pollution, engine noise, will be maintained and transferred from the vehicle to traffic management system.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is unique and better than prior inventions. In view of this, prior art is
replete with devices for automatic stopping of the vehicle in the traffic signal to reduce the fuel
consumption.

Because of high traffic problems and increase in number of vehicles, there is longer wait times
at traffic signals. During this high traffic, drivers are keeping their vehicles in running condition.

Patent No US0322561 discloses method to control traffic at a road intersection, by using continuous calculations according to the rate of change of plurality in the road intersection. Thus, by giving path clearance to congested direction within the interconnection of roads. Every
switching consists of an action. A continuous, decision making process is done to reward ror further calculations to minimize the "traffic. This method is mainly to calculate current traffic state and the rate of change in the traffic.
Patent No US0063045 discloses the efficient use of fuel by employing the routing options by collecting travel information and external data. With help of GPS-based navigation system the shortest way to reach the destination is found and it is delivered to driver upon external data such as traffic condition, weather condition, road blockage, traffic light configuration, etc., Fuel efficient route(s) may be recomputed with up-to-date external data upon driver request, or j updates to external data.
Patent No US01S4642 discloses fuel efficient, route from a plurality of possible "different routes.. Each route made up of different nodes and Minks, to determine minimum energy required completing destination by summing up shortest road segments and finally the route having a low energy value is selected. Here they have not only used traffic light configuration but also traffic • congestion to determine energy value fdf"effective fuel consumption.
Patent No US 0088002 discloses system'for fuel economy by reducing stops., at signals. The
system is provided with the GPS system and computer.-This system identify next traffic.signal
encountered by the vehicle and timing data for the next traffic signal, which when indicates
green Thus, the speed computed will enable vehicle to reach the traffic signal when it is green
and fuel can be consumed efficiently. ,

SUMMARY
In order to achieve the above objective, the invention requires IOT and embedded technologies. SCU (Signal Control Unit) in the! control room sends, the signal through router and the transmitted signal is received by the1 VCU in the vehicles this unit decides, the stale (Start or Stop) of the vehicle to achieve the; properties of the invention. During the idle state of the vehicle, VCU in the vehicle sends the vehicle and drivers information to the control room which is helpful in monitoring the security related issues and vehicles condition. .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Figure 1 shows the block diagram which consists of Vehicle Management System and Traffic Signal Management System. Vehicle Management System contains vehicle control unit which controls vehicle by obtaining signal from Wi-Fi module. Microcontroller controls signals from all the sensors like speed sensor, alcohol sensor, C02 sensor and load sensor. The controlled signal from Microcontroller is forwarded to Wi-Fi module via VCU. In traffic signal management system, Signal Control Unit (SCU) sends the directed signal to Wi-Fi module for the unidirectional vehicle control in traffic. Signal timer is introduced in Signal control unit for a specified period of time in particular direction via Wi-Fi module. All the details of vehicle and owner of the vehicle and also error signals from the microcontroller is stored in the cloud that can be retrieved any time for security problems.
Figure 2 shows the entire traffic control process which is made smart with the help of automatic transmitting and receiving the signal between vehicle and module which is monitored in control room and stored in cloud for future use for further manufacturing and quality improvement. This system consists of Four way road (1), Vehicle (2) with" transmitter, receiver and Global Positioning System that is connected with vehicle control unit, Traffic signal post (3) with modem which transmits the control signal to vehicle and signal from the vehicle is received by transceiver in traffic signal post, from that received signal is transmitted to control room and stored in cloud, Control room (4) will send warning signal to the vehicle when the threshold value violated.

1. As per the claim 1, unique ID will be provided for each vehicle and interfaced with owners Aadhaar details while buying the vehicle. By this each vehicle will be monitored individually with end to end encryption securing owners personal details with high leveH security.
2. As per the claim 2, the Aadhaar card number and unique ID provides the essential informatio about vehicle and driver. Everything will be in confidential manner.
3. As per the claim 3, GPS connected! in the vehicle with Vehicle Control Unit, will provide the position of the vehicle. This provided position information will be processed by VCU for controlling vehicle during emergency conditions.
4. As per the claim 4, with the help of interfaced unique id and Aadhaar details, control room receives the signal continuously through Wi-Fi router. The SCU located in the control room process the information and the stores data in the cloud.

6. As per the claim 6, Alcohol consumption will be detected while driving and over loading is also monitored and the data is stored in the cloud. It will be helpful in monitoring and analyzing the vehicle's and driver's safety measures for security and safety purposes. '
7.As per the claim 7, Engine noise level, vibration and pollution level, is measured and will be stored in cloud. This will be useful for monitoring the current condition of the vehicle and the data stored will be useful for manufactures to identify the defects.
8. As per the claim 8, the transmitter and receiver in the vehicle communicate only with the authorized Trans receiver. It can't able to communicate with other unauthorized Trans receivers which reduces data theft.
9. As per the claim 9, if any of the vehicles violates traffic rules the data will be transmitted to the control room. With the help of Trans receiver and the receiver in the vehicle.the authorities can warn the respective individual. .."■'.•:

rules can't be violated and energy consumption is greatly reduced.
