Ventilated Brake Drum
Abstract: The present invention provides a brake drum with ventilation openings on the brake drum mounting flange and the friction area to allow for natural air cooling of the brake drum. Due to frequent braking conditions, pressure and heat that develops between the brake lining and drum is dissipated through the ventilation openings provided on the brake drum cylinder, thereby reducing the brake drum heating.
