Ventilation Aiding Structure For A Scooter Type Vehicles

Abstract: Described invention discloses a ventilation aiding system that is an opening in the side part of the front panel. Through this opening air enters and flows to the engine. Said opening is designed in such a way that it remains above the level of water splashing from the road. Further the water coming from above the vehicle like during rain or clearing of the vehicle slips down from the outer cavity of the opening and does not reach to the inner cavity of the air opening. This system helps in preventing entry of foreign elements which affects the cooling efficiency of the vehicle. To be accompanied with Figure 2

Specification

Field of invention
The present invention generally relates to a front panel of the scooter type of vehicle and more particularly to the lower part of the front panel of the vehicle.
Background of invention
In air cooled engines, air is supplied to the engine through different means i.e. by different passages or by installing cooling units like fan and radiator. In many cases aiong with trie cooling units passages for directing air flow are made in the vehicle through which natural air flows to the engine and other units mounted nearby.
In some cases, in scooter type vehicles has a passage through the floor board and the front panel, through which air can flow to the engine. In these cases inlet opening for the air is generally provided on the lower part of the front panel through which air enters in the passage.
Along with air, foreign elements like mud, dust or water etc. enters and affects the cooling efficiency of the vehicle.
Summary of Invention
Main objective of present invention is to provide a solution for the entry 0f the foreign elements which affects the cooling efficiency of the vehicle. In claimed ventilation aiding system an opening is provided in the side part of the front panel through which air enters and flows to the engine.
This ventilation aiding structure is integrated on upper end of the side part such that said ventilation aiding structure lies in a plane above the front whe^l.
Specifically this ventilation aiding structure is located above a front fender fixed above the front wheel such that water splashing due to rotation of front does is blocked by the front fender.
Also said opening is designed in such a way that it remains above the level of water splashing from the road. Further the water coming from above the vehicle like.during rain or clearing of the vehicle slips down from'the outer cavity of the opening and does not reach to the inner cavity of the air opening.
Summary provided above explains the basic features of the invention and does
not limit the scope of the invention. Additional detailed information related to the
"enablement of the invention will be provided in the detailed description "and
accompanying claims. Scope of the invention shall be based on the claims
provided.
Brief description of drawings
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing(s). Provided drawings are incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention and illustrates several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention. Drawings given below are provided to support the description of the invention and are not limiting the scope of the present invention. A brief description of the drawing is as follows:
Figure 1 shows the ventilation aiding system provided in the related prior arts.
Figure 2 and Figure 3 are depicting the main embodiments of the invention and their enabling arrangement.
Detailed Description of invention
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that best enabling arrangements of the invention can be explained through all possible embodiments and examples of it. The invention may have application to all kind of two wheeled vehicles.
Referring to Figure 1, exemplary existing arrangement for cooling and ventilation of the embodiments of the scooter 100 is shown. This arrangement has a ventilation aid or inlet opening 105 on the lower part 112 of the front panel 101 through which the air flows 109 to the engine, rear suspension etc. mounted on rear side of the scooter 100. Along with air, foreign elements like mud, dust or water etc. enters the inlet opening 105 and clogs the air flow passage P' that affects the cooling efficiency of the scooter 100."
Figure 2 and Figure 3, further shows the main embodiments of the invention and their enabling arrangement. Described invention is providing a solution for the entry of the foreign elements which affects the cooling efficiency of the scooter 100.
As shown, ventilation aiding system 105n is an opening provided on the side part 110 of the front panel 101. Through this opening 105n air 109 enters and
flows to the engine or other embodiments located on the rear side of the scooter 100.
Said ventilation aiding structure 105n lies in a plane above the front wheel 111 such that water splashing-due to rotation of front wheel 111 does not reach to the ventilation aiding structure/inlet 105n.
As a best mode for enablement of this invention, this ventilation aiding structure 105n is best located above the front fender 107 fixed above the front wheel 111 such that water or mud splashing from the front wheel 111 is blocked by the front fender 107.
Further, this ventilation structurel05n is made in such a way that water coming from above e.g. during rain or cleaning of the vehicle, slips down from the outer cavity A of the ventilation structure 105n and does not reach to the inner cavity B. '
Said outer cavity A and the inner cavity B are integrated to form an outward inclination such that lower end of the outer cavity A lies below the lower end of the inner cavity B and thus it makes an outward slop for the water coming in contact with its surface.
Said inner cavity B acts as the inlet opening for the air 109 entering the passage P for the airflow. This airflow passage P is defined as the space available behind the side part 110 of the front panel 101 and the side trim S of the scooter 100 put together.
Side trim S of the scooter 100 is mounted along the floor board 106 covering the vertical sides of the scooter 100 below said floor board 106.
Outlet O of this passage P is located at the rear end of the side trip S and facilitates exit of the flowing air 109 through the passage P in proximity of engine (not shown in Figures), rear suspension 104 etc. for cooling.
Described location of the ventilation aiding system 105n or ventilation inlet ensure better cooling efficiency of the scooter 100 as it prevents entry of water, mud dust etc. resulting which the passage P does not get blocked or clogged.
An uninterrupted flow of air 109 provides better cooling of embodiments like engine, rear suspension, transmission assembly and other embodiments mounted on rear side of the scooter 100.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS
A scooter type vehicle, comprising a front panel defining atleast one upper part, atleast a lower part and atleast a side part, characterized in that a ventilation aiding structure is integrated on upper end of the side part such that said ventilation aiding structure lies in a plane above the front wheel.
The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ventilation aiding structure is located above a front fender fixed abov£ the front wheel.
The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim !, wherein the ventilator aiding structure defines an opening in the upper end of the side part comprising an outer cavity and an inner cavity.
The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the outer cavity and the inner cavity are integrated to form an outward inclination such that lower end of the outer cavity lies below the lower end of the inner cavity. ■
The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the inner cavity defines the opening in the upper end of the side part of the side panel.
The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the side part of the front panel and a side trim of the scooter define a passage for air flow with an outlet on rearmost end of the side trim.
