Abstract: A virtual object display control device (10) comprises: a recognition unit (110) which receives real space information (A1, A2) representing a real space; a viewpoint position determination unit (121) which determines the viewpoint position of a viewer from the real space information (A1, A2); a real object determination unit (122) which determines the position and shape of a real object from the real space information (A1, A2); an image control unit (123) which processes image information about a virtual object so as to generate image information for displaying the virtual object in an animated manner; a display setting unit (124) which determines whether or not to display the virtual object in an animated manner, on the basis of the viewpoint position, the position and shape of the real object, and the image information about the virtual object, and which, on the basis of the result of the determination, sets, as display image information (B2), image information including either the image information about the virtual object or the image information for displaying the virtual object in an animated manner; and a rendering unit (125) which outputs the display image information (B2).
